Danyfan – an elegant Edwardian Villa with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, it comfortably sleeps 10, and is perfect for groups and families. At Danyfan, you can relax in front of the log-fire in the sitting room, read or play board games in the library, or play a spot of pool or ping pong in the sunny conservatory. There is a large, well equipped kitchen, with a log fire and dining table. You're welcome to enjoy the gardens, feed the chickens or spy on the resident wood-peckers, house martins and nuthatches.Cradled in the Brecon Beacons at the foot of Pen-y-Fan, from Danyfan, there are hundreds of activities to take on. Walking, road biking, mountain biking, fishing, country pubs, enjoying the various events throughout the year. The owners, who live next door, are happy to advise on walking/ cycling routes and activities. Families can take day trips to the Owl Centre, Brecon Mountain Railway and the nearby Cantref Adventure Centre. It's also a perfect base for festivals

Each of the rooms is uniquely designed with beautiful fabrics, antique furniture and art. The sitting room, kitchen and conservatory are large and comfortable and perfect for groups. All the bedrooms have sumptuous beds, luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, there are also plenty of TVs, i-pod docks, vintage books and binoculars for bird-watchingThe Kitchen The colourful kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher, big fridge and freezer, making it easy to cater for large groups. There is a wood-burning stove and large dining table.Sitting RoomThe sitting room is large with ample seating for 10. Relax in front of a roaring fire, watch TV or DVDs, play one of the many board games or have a sing song around the piano.The Conservatory The sunny, south facing conservatory looks out onto the garden and the mountains beyond. It has a pool/ ping pong table and it's a perfect spot for meals and soaking up the sunshine. Room 1The huge master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with views on three sides of sunrise, the mountains and cows in the neighbouring field.Room 2An en-suite room with a sumptuous, original Victorian four poster bed and cast iron bath. The room has great views of the birds including woodpeckers and nuthatches.Room 3 This room has a super king sized bed that can be set up as twin beds. The room shares a large bathroom with a vast freestanding bath, with room 4.Room 4Room 4 is a pretty double bedroom (slightly smaller than the others).Room 5This is a large attic room with stunning panoramic views of the beacons. It has a king sized bed that can be set up as twin beds. Across the hall is a large bathroom.

Danyfan is set in 2 acres of garden, meadow and woodland. At the far end of the property (150metres from the house) is a large, shallow-sided pond, which is a haven for wildlife. There is space for 5 cars to park.

Brecon is a charming market town, considered as one of the most historic locations in Wales. Brecon is famed for its Gothic cathedral, Georgian architecture, castle ruins and annual Jazz Festival. It also boasts some of the best views of the famous Brecon Beacons.The name 'Cwmgwdi' means 'The Valley of the Owls', it's a small valley at the bottom of Pen-y-fan, just two miles out of Brecon.
