“Ty-Nance”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2017

Myself my partner and children stayed in this charming cottage from 23rd August for 10 days. We found it to be a good location and centrally based for all that we wanted to do. The owner was very welcoming with lots of personal touches such as having a drink ready for the children on our arrival and generally very accommodating in all ways and nothing was to much trouble. The boys where lucky enough to receive a parting gift. I would recommend to any wanting a Welsh get away.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the lovely comments so glad you and the boys enjoyed ..

“Good Walking Base”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2017

It was very appreciated that not only did Amanda meet us on arrival but left us tea and milk for a cuppa and of course Welsh cakes (like a flat scone really) very nice and also treats for our dog Ned. The cottage itself is quite homely and well kitted out Central Heating, Washer, dryer, Microwave etc the bathroom, which is off the kitchen downstairs is quite a small room but functional, the back outside enclosed garden was also good for letting Ned out safely The area is very good for Walking and cycling with the property only a stones throw from Cwmcarn Forest which is fantastic for either activity and has a good visitor centre for maps and information. we enjoyed our stay!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the lovely comments and so glad that you enjoyed stay and the welsh cakes ..cheers !!

Quiet village location within easy reach of the M4. Great variety of walks and mountain biking within a few hundred yards of the cottage. Amanda is very friendly and the house had everything we needed including a paddling pool and toys for our little granddaughter.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the lovely comments so glad you enjoyed stay

The nicest welcome ever!! Welsh cakes and the kettle on for us! When people say 'they couldn't do enough for us' well they'd be hard pressed to beat Amanda! She even washed and dried my sons judo suit as it was too heavy for the machine in the house!!! The cottage is very well equipped. Tv, DVD wifi iron etc. hairdryer even straighteners . Our stay was too short but if I'm ever in the area this will be the top of my list to stay. Highly recommend.

Owner's reply: Thanks very much for the lovely comments so glad enjoyed stay even though it was short . no probs in washing judo suit and well done to the children .good luck to them both for the future take care and thank you ..

“lovely comfy cottage in south wales”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2016

The cottage is so close to the forest drive, with walks and mountain bike trials literally 5 minutes walk from your front door.Clean and welcoming, nice to find the welsh cakes and milk ready for a cuppa on arrival.Amanda the owner lives just over the road,so was able to welcome us and even provided some dog treats for our dog, and offrred to dog sit if we wanted to go out without the dog.Within easy reach of Cardiff and the coast,,as we only had a cuople of days we didnt go further afield, but there was plenty of information at the cottage of things to do elsewhere in the area. The property was very dog friendly, and had an enclosed safe back garden to let the dog run in,and lovely sound of a stream running just beyond the back gate.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the lovely comments. glad you all enjoyed the stay And your lovely dog ..

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the lovely comment and glad you enjoyed stay all xxx

“A great time”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2014

Very good value for money in a really central location for visiting Cardiff and plenty of other places. Warm and comfortable, and very peaceful. Amanda is an excellent hostess and goes that extra mile to make her guests welcome - literally in this case as when my car got a puncture she came to take my friends back to the house while I waited for a tow-truck to collect me and my car. Then she found someone who could replace the tyre the following morning so our holiday was hardly disrupted at all. I found all the people I met in this area to be very friendly and helpful, but Amanda was definitely in a class of her own!

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the lovely comments and so glad that you enjoyed stay
