Depot Road is a spacious, stunning converted chapel property, offering the only true 5* self-catering group accommodation in this area of South Wales. This former modern Methodist church has been transformed and now offers a superb, contemporary style of accommodation which is perfect for a large family and groups of friends. Fabulous for walkers, mountain and road bikers and all outdoor sports enthusiasts. Pets are also welcome.
Excellent for Stag & Hen Parties, corporate events and team-building.

Depot Road has the WOW factor, a tranquil haven, presented in a modern, creative style that combines great design and attention to detail. With high ceilings, it offers wonderful open plan living, underfloor heated slate floors throughout, a modern wood burning stove, stainless steel kitchen, fantastic deep corner-sofa, bespoke dining table, and fantastic entertainment facilities including Pro Table Football, Air hockey with new fibre broadband wifi, 40" Samsung smart TV, hifi and blu-ray player. There are two large secure courtyards, for outdoor dining, drinking and fun. There is an enormous gas BBQ in the south-facing rear courtyard. There are three bedrooms, two rooms sleep 1-4 people; each with either twin beds or a super king double bed, plus two state of the art full size fold down bunks. The largest bedroom has an additional John Lewis sofa bed and so can sleep up to six people (a bit small for two adults however). All rooms are en-suite and have truly unique aluminium and slate walk in power-showers. Hotel quality bed linen and towels are provided.
Keen walkers, mountain and road bikers and all outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the excellent drying room, located off the lobby. Full laundry facilities with a high rpm clothes spinner. There is a large and secure bike/equipment store and an outdoor bike/equipment wash area as well.
The property is situated in the stunning Afan Valley and easily reached by car on the M4, and on public transport. It also offers speedy access to the Brecon Beacons, Black mountains and the Gower Peninsula. Our links with all the best local guides, instructors and services means your adventure starts right on our doorstep whatever your activity. We also supply full OS maps of the whole area for you to use during your stay here.Some however have recently, unfortunately "gone missing", so it's advisable to bring your own, for the more adventurous persuits.

We spent a great weekend in Ewan's amazing home. It was perfect for all of us ranging in age from 3 years to 77! The photos do not do this place justice; it is an incredibly stylish & comfortable space to hang in with everything you need and some. Can't recommend this place more highly!

“Lovely place, plenty of space, great countryside and seascapes not too far away.”
Ran into some important issues early on, notified the owner very quickly and he was very apologetic and open to suggestions regarding this. We believe these are already in the process of being addressed. You are met with some Welsh cakes and damson jam, a nice treat for the group. The utility and drying room is very helpful for keeping the grubby things away from the main rooms. Aberavon beach is lovely, the mumbles are beautiful, but don't get stranded at the lighthouse, the tide is fast, have good walking shoes and maybe a stick too, for younger kids, Blackpill lido is lovely for the small children, there is also a wonderful little landtrain that brings you to the pier, the copper fish restaurant and takeaway serve amazing food. Swansea town centre is vast, great street art to be seen. Lots of shops and cafes and bars. Margam country park and castle and chapel are beautiful. Pop along light a candle buy a postcard, sit and take a breath in an amazing setting. Look at the ruins, and sit by the lake. From depot road Local shops are in good distance, cycling ability is wonderful in afan forest. The place is great for families, Large and small groups. Lodge cycles next door are very friendly if your bikes in need or you need some biking equipment, and bikes can be hired from afan too if you want to get around and are able for the various trails. Aberdulais tin mine national trust is a super little site but the views and feeling there was beautiful, the rain poured but it added to its charm, disabled friendly with lifts to the various viewing platforms. Lovely little shop on site, cinema telling the history of the site and even a rainmack on sale if you need one. Just in case you don't make use of the amazing kitchen For takeaways dominos in port talbot and Bombay spice are very helpful and accomdating to dietary requirements. For us as artists and photographers, what a little place of heaven. Too much to see in the short time there and would love to return again soon.

“Great space for a family get together”
Depot Road, is a fab space for a family get together. From 4 yrs old to 77! Great having the football table and air hockey. Kitchen has everything and beds comfy. We all enjoyed our mini break.

This house is fantastic! We went as a family holiday with 6 adults and 3 children and it was perfect for what we needed. Lovely living/dining/kitchen area, plenty of space and great comfy sofas! Kitchen area is perfect and was well equipped with everything we needed. Bedrooms and bathrooms all a good size. We did lots of exploring and the house was a perfect base for this.

Group of 9 (older than we like to admit) lads stayed for 2 nights to tackle the 'Fan Dance' endurance event. Without exception everyone was very impressed by the accommodation which was perfectly suited to our needs. Very clean, very well equipped and the huge open plan living area was perfect for our pre and post event socialising. Thanks for a great stay I suspect we might be back.

Fantastic property everything you could want eight of us stayed plenty of room We are out the first night then ate meals we had brought with us the following two night cooked breakfast every day Excellent en suite facilities, table football air hockey and the fully stocked beer fridge would definetly stay again
“Brilliant mountain biker accomodation”
Without a doubt the best biker friendly accomodation I have stayed at, its a really great place. The local pub, shop and takeaways are all good too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

“Perfect for cycling and exploring with friends and families”
Really loved Depot Rd, very creatively designed making the stay more memorable. The set up for mountain biking the Afan trails was ideal. We stayed with two other families, the fantastic kitchen and huge dining table made for social and fun meal times. The bike shed & hose wash and the laundry room made the clean up and close down after the rides very quick and simple. Recomended for biking and for families that want to enjoy some great outdoor locations, all nearby.
“five star accommodation brilliant location”
we stayed between xmas and new year 6 adults 7 children, although the weather was wet we had a great time. the accommodation was new and very well equipped. a lot of thought has gone into large groups returning after a bike ride or walk into a large warm (underfloor) heated property with all the drying and shower rooms. you can walk or ride to affan forest or drive to the gower so much to do . we will definately be returning as soon as possible to take on the mountain bike trails of affan again
