The South Wales region

Depot rd is perfectly positioned to explore South Wales, described by 'Lonely Planet' as the 'Best region on Earth to visit in 2012'. Why fly round the world looking for beauty and adventure when it's on your doorstep. The beauty of Wales is about being part of its landscape, just a 5 minute walk and you can be picnicking by the river, or cycling to the Afan valley to explore one of many routes for all ages and skill levels, if you don't have a bike it is easy to hire one. A 15 minute drive and you could be climbing over sand dunes and paddling on Aberavon beach, the 3 sandy miles attracts surfers and walkers whatever the weather. At Ogmore there is sea kayaking, horse trekking over dunes and golfing and biking. Visit the Mumbles for little cafes serving locally sourced produce, fresh fish restaurants or the best ice cream. Swansea bay and the Gower has 50 miles of unspoilt beaches, coves and bays to discover and explore. These are world class and truly stunning. Inland there are walks, waterfalls and castles and museums to explore. Nearly every activity you can think of, you can experience here. “Brilliant mountain biker accomodation”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2017

Without a doubt the best biker friendly accomodation I have stayed at, its a really great place. The local pub, shop and takeaways are all good too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Owner's reply: Thanks mate.Hope we'll see you all again.

“Perfect for cycling and exploring with friends and families”

Reviewed 30 Jan 2013

Really loved Depot Rd, very creatively designed making the stay more memorable. The set up for mountain biking the Afan trails was ideal. We stayed with two other families, the fantastic kitchen and huge dining table made for social and fun meal times. The bike shed & hose wash and the laundry room made the clean up and close down after the rides very quick and simple. Recomended for biking and for families that want to enjoy some great outdoor locations, all nearby.

“five star accommodation brilliant location”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2013

we stayed between xmas and new year 6 adults 7 children, although the weather was wet we had a great time. the accommodation was new and very well equipped. a lot of thought has gone into large groups returning after a bike ride or walk into a large warm (underfloor) heated property with all the drying and shower rooms. you can walk or ride to affan forest or drive to the gower so much to do . we will definately be returning as soon as possible to take on the mountain bike trails of affan again
