Description

This is a large country mansion house, set in private grounds and close to all amenities. Glasgow city centre is 15 minutes by car and Edinburgh around 35 minutes by car. Close to a mainline railway station and local supermarkets and facilities.

A fabulous and comfortable home, which is also suitable for Corporate and Themed events.

The main entrance is a large square reception hallway with stone flooring which affords lots of natural light from 4 double period windows.

The formal lounge is a bright and sunny room measuring over 24’ x 16’ with period features including bay windows and feature cornicing. The room has 3 large modern radiators as well as a multi fuel stove.

The second public room measuring over 24’ x 16’ boasts 3 large modern radiators, a wood burning stove set on a slate hearth and high quality wood flooring. This room provides an access to the West Wing with original staircase and the Leisure Suite.

The first floor features 3 large double bedrooms with the master having an en-suite bathroom. The family bathroom features a stylish three piece suite comprising a WC, wash hand basin and bath. The magnificent first floor landing is 15’ x 13’ and flooded by light from period windows on 3 sides.

The second floor of this magnificent house features two large double bedrooms overlooking the mature garden grounds, Monkey Puzzle tree and Campsie Fells.

Annexe

The West Wing -

The ground floor of contains a full size sauna, changing room and WC. Across the hall is a further bedroom suitable for disabled access.

The first floor of the West Wing features a Double Bedroom with views over the front garden and en-suite.

A small landing gives access to the Billiards room which houses a full size snooker table and an en-suite bathroom area.

The outdoor space is set in 1 acre of private gardens and comes complete with an outdoor swimming pool. (Please note that the pool heating is not available for weekend bookings, and only for bookings of at least 6 days during the summer months).

Dullatur is set in a conservation village only 15 minutes car ride from Glasgow and around 35 minutes from Edinburgh.

Close-by are a huge range of activities including Golf, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Off Road Driving, Segway outings, horse riding - in fact most outdoor pursuits can be found within a short drive of the property.

We are located in a fantastic location in the Scottish Central belt providing easy access to historical and significant Scottish places of interest. In around 1 hour you can reach the hills and glens of the West Coast, or reach the the Golden Beaches of the East Coast.

Cumbernauld

A Little bit of History...

The lands of Dullatur encompass an area at the head of the Kelvin Valley, which has been a natural east-west routeway for over two millennia. Dullatur House was built in 1740 and added to in the late 1800’s. The Antonine Wall, now part of the Frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site, was constructed in AD142 and lies to the immediate north of Dullatur’s Conservation Area.

Today the village is an exclusive residential area located just outside the bustling town of Cumbernauld.

“Birthday trip”

Excellent house for 60th birthday celebration, enough rooms to accommodate our party of 12 A great time had by all and we would have no problem recommending this house to friends and family
