Description from owner

Description

Culross in Fife is a unique survival, a village( town) which time has passed by; the most complete example in Scotland today
of a Burgh of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

Fabulous scenery is a draw to walkers or to those who prefer a gentle stroll. A friendly, slower pace of life which is ideal for a relaxing break.

The village is ideally situated overlooking the Forth Tributary on which the Forth Bridge, Forth Road Bridge, the Kincardine and the Clackmannanshire Bridge all form crossing points from Fife to Edinburgh (10 miles) and Glasgow beyond ( 40miles) There is also good motorway links close by leading to the North eg; Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness. Which makes us a good base for sight-seeing, and quick access to the Highlands.
If golf is a must - we are within easy commute of many courses - Glen Eagles and St. Andrews within an hour. Motorsport enthusiast? Knockhill is a short drive away. The Falkirk Wheel and the giant Kelpies are also close by

Location description from owner

The Scotland region

The picturesque setting with many quite walks makes the village a trually unique venue for a break 'away from it all'. However, the location is ideally suited to reach motorways going in every direction within a short drive away, so hussle and bussle is within easy reach!

Being a self contained unit - when the front door is closed there are no neighbours above or below to disturb that good nights sleep you deserve!

Culross

The village lies on the banks of the river Forth and is situated approx. half way between the The Forth Bridges and The Kincardine Bridge. A985

Many period dramas have used our village setting in their productions and it is easy to imagine 'how things must have been like' in the 1700 with the cobbled streets and quaint little windows and doors.

However, the Studio Flat is comfortable and warm and the decor is modern and stylish.

“Extremely happy and didn't want to leave.”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2016

An unexpected delight. Knowing nothing of Tanhouse or Culross we turned up and found that both exceeded our expectations. The flat is very well appointed, the hosts are excellent and Culross is a delight. We sincerely hope to return one day.
