Very Good

“Perfect Dog friendly holiday rental.”

Reviewed 25 Jan 2016

If you are looking for prompt, clear and hassle free service in booking a dog friendly self catering holiday rental in Donegal then look no further. The owners of this place have thought of absolutely everything. My wife's parents, my wife and I were looking for a four night break after a hectic Christmas but wanted somewhere that was dog friendly so we could take our two dogs. After much internet searching we were so glad to have found and settled on this place. I can only echo other reviewers and say that the property itself has all you would need for a self catering holiday. We only used the downstairs of the property as there was ample space. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds, the en-suite and main bathroom were spotlessly clean with very good showers. The fully equipped kitchen and front room suited ourselves and dogs really well. Being January we weren't expecting good weather but we managed many runs to the nearby beaches in the mornings with the dogs. I got a round of golf in at Greencastle and we all really enjoyed a fantastic meal in Inish Fusion in Moville. I really can't say anything negative about this place. If you are looking for a place where the owners have covered every detail for an enjoyable holiday with breathtaking views, beaches, friendly locals and great places to eat and drink then your search is over.

“Paradise for Dogs!”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2015

We arrived at Dusty's Place on Saturday afternoon at our given arrival time. We were welcomed by Michelle who lives next door with her husband and 2 children. If there is anything you need during your stay, nothing is too much trouble for them. There was a lovely welcome pack of a bottle of Prosecco, a bag of 'Abernethy' fudge, and a box of 'Pawfect Doggie Treats' for our 3 dogs. The house sleeps 8 people and is set up with dogs in mind. There are tile and wooden floors the whole way through, and dogs are welcome throughout the downstairs area, apart from on the beds (which is fair enough)! The garden is fantastic. Double patio doors open out to a lovely patio area with a picnic table. The garden is grassed and completely enclosed for the safety of the dogs. There is a dog waste bin for ease of cleaning up after your dogs, and the garden is big enough to play fetch. There are lots of books and dvd's to choose from for relaxing in the evenings. The kitchen is completely fitted out with all utilities and essentials. There is an 8 person dining table and a lovely leather reclining sofa. The bungalow is situated in Gleneely, which is a 5 minute drive from the nearest beach, and a central location for exploring Innishowen and the 'Wild Atlantic Way'. A favourite of ours is to drive up to Malin Head, stopping off at Culdaff beach and Five Fingers Strand on the way. The scenery is amazing! There are lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. It's difficult to find a holiday property so well kept and where there is no limit on the number of dogs you have. Even if you don't have dogs and want a well set up, clean and central base, then we would high recommend Dusty's Place. We will certainly be back (again)!! :)

“Home from Home”

Reviewed 6 May 2015

Dusty's is the home from home everyone wants when they go on holiday. The location is ideal for a quiet relaxing time. The totally enclosed garden is excellent for dogs or children . The beaches at Culdaff and Five Fingers Strand are brilliant . Carndonagh is maybe a 10 minute drive away and you can get all groceries in the Supervalu there, or most items in the wee local shop just down from the Orchard bar. You just need to bring your own towels as nearly everything else is provided. The turf is great for the multi fuel stove but if you want to heat the radiators and have hot water coal is better. Dusty’s is spacious and would sleep 8 adults easily. The second sitting area upstairs is great for either playing games or reading quietly.

“Great dog friendly accomodation set in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 20 Apr 2015

Stayed here in April 2014. There were seven in my party aged from eight to seventy, not to mention five dogs! The house was large enough to accommodate all of us, with room to spare. Located on a private road with only a couple of houses nearby, yet on the doorstep of many wonderful Inishowen attractions. The beaches at Five Finger Strand, Culdaff and Kinnego Bay in particular are breathtaking. Malin Head and the towns of Moville and Buncrana are also in close proximity. Was very sad when the week ended and hope to revisit soon.

“The perfect family getaway!”

Reviewed 30 Mar 2015

We have stayed at Dustys Place almost every year since it opened. It really is the perfect place to relax and getaway from it all. The house is spacious and well equipped and having stayed so often it really does feel like a home from home. Our 2 children and dog Marley love exploring the huge back garden not to mention all the beautiful beaches nearby. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area with lots of quaint pubs and restaurants to visit - Rosario's in Moville being our most recent find. Winter time is probably our favourite time to stay - long walks on the beach then home to the fire and a glass (or 2) of wine. Looking forward to our next holiday there soon...

“Home from Home, Suitable for all the Family - AMAZING.......”

Reviewed 19 Mar 2015

I have stayed at Dusty's Places on numerous occasions. Every time I have been with my friends/family we have had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The house is well equipped with everything and more you could think of. Clean, spacious and inviting. My daughter (who is 6), absolutely loves playing outside in the huge garden which has a fence all around making it very secure and putting mine and my husbands mine at ease if we are inside. We love to sit out and relax with a glass of wine in the evening when the weather allows us too. Dusty's place is a great location and close to so many pubs, restaurants and fabulous beaches. There is something that suits all members of our family including our dog Archie.

“Doggy paradise!”

Reviewed 9 Mar 2015

We stayed at Dusty’s Place with our dogs in November 2014 as we wanted somewhere peaceful to escape the noise of fireworks. We all had a wonderful time. The house was cosy and had everything we needed. A real bonus was the secure and very large back garden. The house is located close to some beautiful beaches (Culduff, Tramore and Pollan Bay to name a few) and we enjoyed putting our feet up in front of the fire after our walks. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly and we would definitely recommend Dusty's Place. We are looking forward to returning for another relaxing holiday very soon.
