CROYDE ST HELENS COTTAGE OVERVIEW
This delightful character cottage is brimming with old world charm and situated close to the heart of Croyde. Walk to the golden sands of Croyde Bay beach, fantastic pubs, surf shops, cafes and restaurants in minutes. CROYDE ST HELENS COTTAGE is steeped in history with a wealth of original features including beams, latch doors, deep-set windows and inglenook fireplaces. A stone path through the pretty cottage garden leads to the front door of this charming home. The cottage has 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people, a great holiday home for families or friends.
Step through the front door into a quarry-tiled lobby with room for boots, coats and beach gear. Continue into the spacious hall with stairs to the first floor and doors to the kitchen and sitting room. The sitting room is very comfortable, with its natural stone inglenook fireplace and bread oven, two sofas, polished oak floor and country cottage windows overlooking the garden. This is a truly lovely room for reading, relaxing and socialising. Sit back and unwind in front of the TV, with DVD player and stereo.
The dining room has an original Norman arched window and a pine dining table seating 6 people.From the dining room patio doors lead out onto the private courtyard with beautiful views to the surrounding hills. From the dining room there are stone spiral steps that lead to the third bedroom.
A traditional country style kitchen contains fitted units, a decorative Rayburn in an inglenook (not in use), additional double electric oven with grill and ceramic hob, a washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and many more kitchen utensils and crockery. An oak dining table is ideal for breakfast and evening meals.
Bedroom 1: Master bedroom - a simple, stylish double bedroom, with king size bed. Delightfully furnished with plenty of room for a cot. The deep-set window has village views to gaze on as you enjoy breakfast in bed.
Bedroom 2: Bunk beds, painted floorboards and cosy rugs underfoot. An original feature fireplace and village and country views complete the room.
Bedroom 3: Double bedroom accessed from the dining room with stone steps that lead to the arched bedroom. Original beams, solid wood furniture and lovely views to the surrounding hills.
Enjoy the freestanding bath with ball and claw feet for a deep and luxurious soak. This family bathroom also contains a WC, hand basin, heated towel rail and airing cupboard. A quaint shuttered window completes the look of antiquity.
Outside the gardens are beautifully planted and landscaped and there are many delightful and interesting features. These include stone seating, a private old stone courtyard with niches and 'arrow slit' apertures, lawns and a secluded stone terrace dining area – a real suntrap with wood furniture, a really lovely place for al fresco dining. There is parking for 2 cars in a gated driveway.

Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses.
