“Lovely cottage ideally located”

My family and I stayed for 3 nights in early July along with our two lurchers. The cottage was as described with a fantastic kitchen and and living area, 3 good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms (only one shower). We used the cottage as a base and spent one of our full days at lake Windermere (about 45 min by car) and the other walking near Shap (10 min away by car). My sister and I also managed to fit in a run using the public routes directly from the village which again are ideal for walking. We also visited the village pub for drinks on our 1st evening and then for a family dinner to celebrate my father's 60th. The locals were extremely friendly and the pun gave my dad a free dessert with candles for his birthday. We also made good use of the hot tub after long days walking! The only consideration is the nearest shop is 10 min away by car in Shap, so either stop in on your way or come prepared. We had a fantastic time and I would reccomend this cottage to anyone considering a short stay in the lake district.

Myself hubby and children have just had a fabulous break at number 3 Chapel Terrace. Cottage was beautiful and clean inside and the hot tub outside was fantastic. Adele the owner was fantastic and helpful. Would highly recommend if you need a peaceful break away. Thanks Adele for the recommendation of the George pub in Orton and the Royal Oak in Appleby for food.

“absolute bliss”

Fantastic location, excellent accommodation pictures don't do it justice, after a long day walking coming back to the hot tub was just amazing, don't forget to sample the local pub food it is excellent, Ps the guest book is full you need a new one!

“Beautifully peaceful and tranquil.”

What a lovely cottage. Newly built, very modern yet homely. Amazing kitchen with Island. Big bright bedrooms and what's best, a HOT TUB. It was great to have it to ourselves for the two nights. The pub which is literally 1 minute walk away was lush. Great food and very 'country pub' like. It was so quiet, middle of nowhere, but easy to find. Can't wait to visit again. Our little shih tzu loved it, especially the garden area. Thank you for the welcome wine and beers. Lovely finishing touches. If you can afford this just as a couple it's really romantic, we had two friends join us for a night, it was plenty big enough.
