“Quaint Little Place”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2015

Had a lovely stay in fishermans cottage! Arrived to find a nice welcome pack with a delicious lemon syrup cake! All in all a very nice place to stay. As property did not having a parking space, I apid for a weekly pass for Cromer council car parks which was well priced at £27 and only 5 mins walk away. Would recommend this to anyone staying at the cottage.

“Cozy little cottage”

Cozy little cottage conveniently situated in the middle of Cromer. There was a much appreciated welcome pack as we arrived late at night. Everything we needed for an enjoyable week stay was there...

“Cosy and comfy!”

Reviewed 27 Oct 2014

Fishermans cottage is right off the main street of Cromer. Just around the corner there is a budgens and numerous shops selling fresh produce (veg, butchers etc). The cottage itself was small, but not to small. The kitchen was more than adequate and the lounge was just right to crash in front of the TV after a long day with a glass of wine! Up a very narrow staircase is the bedroom, with an extremely comfy King size bed and toilet/ shower. More than adequate and nice and cosy. Plus, the home-made lemon cake and freshly baked bread was lovely to arrive to!

“lovely cottage”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2014

we loved this little cottage nice and cozy and central to all the shops buses and the sea front. A perfect spot. Only slight problem was no parking near the cottage so had to park on a near by road but was ok as it was not too busy in September. Was very pleased with the wifi. Many thanks for the welcome pack much appreciated. We hope to visit the cottage again soon.

“Lovely area, shame about the accommodation”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2014

Cromer is a lovely part of the country. The beach front is beautiful. Lots of tasty places to eat and quaint shops to browse around. The cottage is adequate for two people. I did find areas around the cottage very dusty and the kitchen was not very clean. Struggled to find a parking space.

Owner's reply: This is the first review we have ever received that has not been positive and this concerns us greatly as we strive to offer the very best service to our customers many of whom return time and again. As can be seen from the many glowing reports here this property is unique and as one guest put it ' a little gem.' It is however a 400 year old former Fisherman's Cottage and as such is quirky but very comfortable for 2 people. We are sorry to hear that you felt the standard of cleaning was not up to the very high standards that we strive for. We will be taking steps to check the quality of our cleaning more closely and feel confident that this was a one off. Free parking can be found nearby on neighbouring streets, I send out a map showing this. Also if you wish you can buy a permit from the tourist information office which allows parking in the Cromer car parks and many others around the area which can be useful during your stay.

“Perfect long weekend for two!”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2014

We booked this one day before we were due to arrive and Mark was so helpful and quick with his responses. We arrived after a long train journey so it was loverly to find bread, milk and homemade cake waiting for us. The cottage is decorated so beautifully and has everything we could have wanted. The location was great so we had some nice strolls along the beach and cliffs. We ate great meals at the red lion and Bella vista both over looking the sea. We also took a taxi ride to blakney point and did a boat trip to see the seals. We would highly recommend this cottage. Thank you for a great weekend.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind words, great you enjoyed your stay. We love the Red Lion also. There is a new Indian restaurant at the end of the road opposite the Red lion that I'm told is excellent, we plan to try it soon. Hope to see you again.

“Comfy and Cosy”

A clean and cosy little rental on a side street in the centre of town. Well stocked with everything we needed. We were especially grateful for the "Welcome Pack" of fresh bread, milk, butter and a delicious homemade cake! We would definitely book a stay there, again.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the review, glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.

The bread, tea, cake and biscuits were very tasty! The whole cottage felt very homely we didn't want to leave! The proximity to the shops and beach were a bonus really enjoyed being able to walk back and forth to the town and beach as we pleased! Overall we really enjoyed are weekend break at the fisherman's cottage we will be back and will definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family! Kirk and Alison

“Magical Little Place”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2013

The Fishermans Cottage was small but perfect. We had the most amazing stay, we arrived to find home made lemon cake, tea, coffee, milk and a superbly equipped kitchen. We loved the homely feel and the whole place was so clean and lovingly furnished. The location was great, just a few steps from the beach. We had no problem parking just around the corner and it was free! We would definitely recommend this property and we would like to return ourselves one day, in the summer next time hopefully! Also dog friendly but worth mentioning, apart from the small area outside the back door, no outside space. This was no problem for us though as the beach was so close.
