“Excellent location but cottage looking tired.”

Had a great time and weather fine. Seafood amazing. Cottage was in a fantastic location but could have been more comfortable and wouldn't recommend living spaces for more than two people.

“Fabulous views from every window of this lovely cottage”

Crinan is an historic basin (haven) where the sea meets a canal that was named Scotland's most beautiful short cut. We were able to watch all manner of craft coming and going inlcuding a Clyde Puffer and a tall ship. The walks from the door with our dog were fantastic. You can walk a tow path for 9 miles which is bordered by the Sound of Jura on the other side. We loved the cottage which has been reburbished to a high standard of comfort and is very stylish. We ate at the Seafood bar at the Crinan Hotel across the lock gates twice and they welcome dogs. We loved everything about this cottage and its location and would highly recommend it especially for people with children or dogs. It's perfection.

“Lovely scenic cottage with great facilities!”

Stayed in Seaview cottage with my partner, 3 year old son and my inlaws. Very busy break made really easy by the well equipped and laid out cottage. I have stayed in a listed building before and they can be tricky for young children but this one was excellent! All on one level so no stairs to worry about. The garden was brilliant and I felt the fence kept him really secure and able to run around safely. There were lots of ways that Scottish canals had catered for families, from the kids plates & cutlery, to the connect 4 and guess who which kept my wee one enthralled to the brilliant Scottish story books! I was really impressed by the thought that had gone into things. Having stayed in a Scottish canals property before, I knew that it would be well designed and I wasn't disappointed with Seaview! Loved the decor, thought the layout worked well, especially given the diversity of our party. Found it warm, comfortable and well equipped for everyone's needs. The cleaning standards were also excellent and I found everything I needed to get by for the few days I was there. Being the West coast of Scotland, the weather was bonkers and we found we got to try out all aspects of the cottage. Day 1 we were Bbq-ing, Day 2 it was belting down and we had the heating up full! Had a great time rain or shine and this was due to the beautiful surroundings and lovely accommodation! Crinan is a lovely area, especially for water sports or walking. Highly recommend it to anyone!
