“Absolutely lovely cottage!”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2013

This is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many! It is really warm and very cosy. The layout was perfect, with a kitchen area just off the living area so we could all chat while cooking dinner? The wood burner gave a lovely glow and al logs were provided which was great. The location was lovely and walking our dog was so easy as there is a lovely wooded lane right outside the door. The decor of the cottage was lovely, and fresh flowers made it even better. The owners were around but as others have said, totally unobtrusive. We would definitely return to this lovely cottage in this lovely spot.

“Heaven on Earth”

I stayed at The Steading 15 years ago and always felt that I HAD to go back. To have the same lovely couple own this gorgeous property, who welcomed me and my friends in a warm and sweet way, was a real blessing. The large, clean and nicely appointed cottage is the perfect spot to "home base" and take day trips or just relax and enjoy the peaceful rest and glorious views . This is a special place!

“Excellent cottage! Would recommend!”

Thanks Ronnie! A lovely, clean cottage that is more spacious than you'd think! I'd recommend this as a place to stay and will be passing on the positives to friends and family. Great for a small family or group of friends the cottage has all you need. Owner was very helpful and welcoming.

“Beautiful cottage, couldn't fault anything, and very peaceful”

This was our second visit to The Steadings - and it was just as good. We loved the open fire, and the views from the garden are lovely. The owners have thought of everything, to ensure a comfortable and relaxed stay, it is so homely and welcoming. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in wonderful surroundings. We hope to return again this year.

“Wonderful time had by all.”

The Steading is a beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. It is well equipped, and was spotlessly clean on arrival. The owner, Ronnie, lives next door, and is available for any queries or problems you have. Although it is not adapted for disabled users, we still decided to book, after talking to Ronnie on the phone. There is flat access through the patio doors which makes wheelchair access easy, and the rooms are big enough for access beside all beds and all living and dining room furniture. We used The Steading as a base to explore central Scotland as Crieff is a perfect location to start from, and it proved to be the ideal choice. There is no finer way to enjoy a cool Scottish summer evening than sitting by the wood burning stove with a glass of wine, or sitting out on the patio gazing up at the wonderful night sky on a clear night, both of which we did during our week at The Steading. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Steading to my friends and family, and we are considering booking another break as we enjoyed it so much.
