Very Good

“Beautiful cottage in an excellent location”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2017

We spent a week in this lovely cottage and were delighted to find a wonderful welcoming basket on our arrival. We were fortunate to have some warm days, so the terrace was a great place to sit and admire the spectacular views. Our daughter and son in law joined us for the weekend and there was ample room for the four of us. We walked to restaurants and pubs for dinner and enjoyed coffees in the many cafes that Crickhowell had on offer. We also drove 10 minutes to a nearby Winery and enjoyed a lovely lunch with beautiful vineyard views. We went on two of the many walks on offer, around the surrounding areas. All in all our stay in this cottage was both relaxing and restful, and Owen made us feel very welcome. When we returned to Australia, Owen posted us the robes that we had left behind- it was very much appreciated. We would recommend this cottage to our friends and hope to return again.

Owner's reply: Thank you Jenny for your fantastic review: we're so glad that you had a good time. It makes it all worthwhile when our visitors enjoyed themselves. We're glad the parcel arrived too! Although it's a long way, we hope you'll come back soon.

“Lovely Cottage”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2016

Just returned from a short stay in this lovely little cottage. What a great location, in the town of Crickhowell, which has some nice shops all in easy walking distance. Countryside is beautiful with some great walks. We travelled on motorbikes and owner was very accommodating and helpful. Welcome pack was nice - some great choc brownies and a pint of milk - perfect after a long drive to make that needed cup of tea. Cottage was comfortable and we all slept well. It rained whilst we were there but weather did not dampen or detract from our great stay. Thanks Owen for a nice break.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much Mark for your review; we're so glad you had a good time. Congratulations on being our first motorcycle visitors - don't forget to tell your friends about us! We're glad that you weren't deterred by the weather - the joys of the British Summer unfortunately. Please come back again soon and stay for longer next time - maybe for the Moto GP (fingers crossed - big announcement today!) Thanks again.
