Bradleys Cottage Creeslough sits on the former site of a country farmhouse just over 1 km outside the picturesque village of Creeslough on the Wild Atlantic Way in North County Donegal. Set on a large private site, the cottage overlooks one of the many lakes in Creeslough and the hills that Donegal is famous for.

The 4 star three bedroom family-run cottage (Sleeps 6) is an ideal countryside retreat. With free WiFi, modern and well-equipped, it provides an excellent base to relax and unwind, whist being within easy reach of all Donegal has to offer. A great base for exploring Donegal’s rugged North-West, Creeslough is the home of 16th century Doe Castle, Ards Forest Park, and the tranquil Ards Friary (with its waterfront walkway to the secluded Lucky Shell beach). North of Ards, explore the stunning blue flag beaches at Marble Hill and Killahoey.

About 15 minutes away, the neighbouring village, Dunfanaghy, has an impressive Famine Museum (The Workhouse) with an exhibit telling the story of the potato famine from a local perspective. This along with cafes, craft shops, horse riding, and links golf make Dunfanaghy worth a visit. The adjacent Horn Head Drive showcases Donegal's wild coastline at its best.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms: 2 double en-suite bedrooms, and a twin bedroom (1 single bed and 1 three-quarter [4ft] bed). The main bathroom (bath and separate shower) serves the twin bedroom, while the double bedrooms each have a separate shower/toilet en-suite. A full-sized wooden cot and high chair can be provided, if required.

A cosy living room with a leather-upholstered sofa and reclining armchairs awaits you off the hall, off which is a beautifully fitted modern kitchen designed to make light work of food preparation. A breakfast bar with high stools complements the kitchen. With an open fireplace (starter pack of fuel supplied) in the living room for those slightly chilly evenings and full oil-fired central heating for unseasonable or winter season cold snaps, the cottage is snug and cosy year-round.

The living room has a 32 inch flat screen (Direct LED) TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-ring electric cooker with grill, oven and extractor fan; dishwasher; washer-dryer; fridge-freezer; microwave oven; toaster; and electric kettle. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, crockery, and cutlery.

The villages of Carrigart and Downings are 15 minutes east of Creeslough. Carrigart is home to a diving school / indoor pool and horse-riding school. Downings highlights include several sandy beaches, a leisure centre / indoor play adventure centre for kids, and the renowned Rosapenna Golf Resort (preferential green fees available for guests at Bradleys Cottage Creeslough).

Travelling by car is recommended to see the sights. However, from May to September, the four bus tours below start from Letterkenny on designated days. There are connecting buses via Creeslough. Letterkenny is 20-30 minutes by car or bus from Creeslough. For further information on the tours, see the Donegal Tours website. 1. The host and cottage were fantastic, great location and 15mins walk to Creeslough. Our host welcomed us and left all the essentials including chocolate for the kids. We will definitely be back.

This cottage was in a perfect location for us. The view was stunning. it is spacious and has everything you need. Very good for children and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It also helped that the family the cottage belongs to were so very lovely, I can only say thankyou for having us.

“Great Views, Quality Bungalow in tranquil setting, convenient for local interests”

The property was off the beaten track, away from the centre of the village yet very onvenient to shops and main road routes. Exceptional high quality of fittings and comfort with all fittings and linen supplied. Good size bedrooms with 2 ensuites and a family bathroom soin efect all bedrooms had their own bathroom / shower. Good heating within oil fired. Meters for the useage of fuel as an add on, but very reasonable. Home from Home, but luxury all the way. If you are looking to be in the area then go and stay at Bradleys Cottage, it is a fine experience and weare sure you will want to return as we intend to do so, soon. Good hunting.
