Superb modern lodge, maintained and equipped to a high standard. Offered on a self catering basis.

This ground floor lodge offers: large open plan lounge (includes a wall mounted pull down double bed) dinning area, large kitchen area with breakfast bar. Bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath, separate power shower and its own sauna cabin. The Bedroom has a king size bed with dressing area. Other facilities include a drying cabinet in the private entrance hall, outside the patio has chairs and tables . Both the lounge and bedroom boast fantastic views of the Dee Valley with the river meandering by; seen through floor to ceiling picture windows which stretch across the width of the room.

The lodge is located on Craigendarroch time ownership estate on the side of Craigendarroch Mountain (800 feet) at Ballater on Royal Deeside. The estate is managed by Hilton Hotels who operate their own hotel on site with a their own restaurant (The Oaks) offering first class cuisine – dress code

The Hotel operates the leisure center on site which you are free to use. Facilities include: two swimming pools, squash court, gymnasium, steam room, snooker room, beauty salon. Also, a bar serving drinks and bar snacks until late and a further restaurant.

There is also a short dry ski slope on site subject to being operational. If you enjoy skiing you are approximately 12 miles from the Leche Ski Center and about 20 Miles from the Ski Center at Glen-Shee. (Both rent ski equipment so you do not have to take your own). Other pursuits available in the area include: clay pigeon shooting, off road driving experiences in 4x4 vehicles, cycling, as well as a variety of walks.

You are approximately 35 miles from Aberdeen 100 miles from Edinburgh and 70 miles from Inverness. The Queens Estate at Balmoral is 4 miles down the road. Each place having it own airport should you choose to fly in and hire a car.

Being Hogmanay there should be a number of celebratory parties on site and in the area to book into. The Leisure center normally has a party with disco in the Leisure Centre Bar going on until 3 AM which is free to attend.
