A charming, cosy and traditional fisherman's cottage, located in the tiny seaside hamlet of Dunstan, a short stroll from Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle.

This tastefully refurbished property offers clean, comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation sleeps 4 (1 double and 1 bunk bedroom) and lovingly decorated open plan living space. The cottage is located near to 'The Cottage Inn'; a local country inn, renowned for its food and real ales. It is also a short walk away from the picturesque fishing harbour of Craster, famous for its oak smoked kippers and salmon, great pub "The Jolly Fisherman" and sits mid way along the beautfiul 20 mile Heritage coastline.

Just 6 miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle, often referred to as 'The Windsor of the North' and ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter's Hogwarts Academy!). Alnwick Garden - a spectacular contemporary interpretation of a formal garden and includes the Grand Cascade waterfall, a Poison Garden and the largest tree house in Europe! - is a popular visitor attraction, whatever the season.

Beech Cottage is ideally situated for those seeking to explore the many historic delights across Northumberland coupled with easy access to one of the finest stretches of golden, sandy beaches in England. It is only 2 miles from Howick Hall Gardens and there are golf courses along the coastline.

We spoke on the phone and made sure you felt comfortable to phone direct with any issues - tackling these whilst at the property is always the best way rather than after you’ve left! We have Wi-fi and a smart tv, and helped you to find the info you needed. Appreciate a guest flushed the loo flush button down the toilet and it’s harder you’d think to find a replacement, although it works fine, I agree it’s frustating and will endeavour to resolve! Best.

Why can't I call Kristen (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kristen (the owner) a message.

If Kristen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
