Harbour House is a traditional, double fronted cottage located right at the harbour front in the seaside village of Craster on the Northumberland Coast and offers glorious with sea views from many of the rooms. It is very well equipped for a large group with varying needs as it can accommodate up to 9 people in 5 comfortable bedrooms with 3 bath/shower rooms and with a lovely, front garden for sitting out in to admire the views, relax and breathe in the sea air. The National Trust and English Heritage managed Dunstanburgh Castle and coastal walk is on the doorstep and you can also walk to the villages of Embleton and Howick to enjoy their beaches too.This is a homely cottage with many lovely features to help you enjoy your stay including a large, open fire in the lounge and an extra large, separate dining room seating up to 10 for those large family and friends gatherings. The cottage offers Wi-Fi and a telephone for incoming calls.

Accommodation Summary:

Lounge - with views of the harbour. Two large sofas and armchairs seating 9, coffee table, occasional tables and bookshelves. There are lots of books in Harbour House! Open fire set within a feature stone fireplace, (an initial starter pack of logs is included) flat screen TV with Free-Sat, DVD player and Wi-Fi. Telephone for incoming calls. (NB Mobile signal in the village is poor).

Dining room- Dining table and seating for 10, with small sofa and coffee table, small TV. Views of the harbour.

Kitchen - galley style, fully equipped, including dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, two kettles, toaster and cafetiere.

Downstairs Shower Room - with walk-in shower, WC and wash basin.Porch at rear with seating and hooks for wet suits, coats etc. overlooking rear patio.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 1 - Master bedroom - King size bed with two windows overlooking the harbour, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest of drawers, hair dryer and wash basin.

Bedroom 2 - King size bed (two single beds made up as a king size) and individual duvets and covers, bedside cupboards and lamps, small dressing table, hair dryer, chest of drawers, wardrobe, arm chair and wash basin. Views across the harbour.

Bedroom 3 - Twin with 2 single beds overlooking neighbour's rear gardens with lamp, wash basin and armchair. There is a chest of drawers and hooks on the back of the door for storage.

Bedroom 4 - Twin with 2 single beds, bedside table and lamp. For storage, there is some shelving and a small area for hanging clothes, wash basin.

Bedroom 5 - Single bed with chest of drawers and hooks on back of door for storage, window overlooking rear.(NB wardrobe featured in photograph is not for guest use).

Family bathroom 1 - With mains shower over bath, wash basin with mirror over and electric shaving point, towel rail and WC.

Family bathroom 2 - Walk in shower cubicle and separate bath with grab rail, wash basin with mirror over, heated towel rail and WC.

Outside: Lovely enclosed garden area to the front of the property with seating and bench table To the rear, there is a small patio area with seating - ideal for BBQ's. The porch is useful as a boot room or for wetsuits etc. too.

Parking: there is space at the side of the house for 2 sensibly parked cars. Additional parking is available in the main village car park where you can purchase a weekly pass.

Heating: Oil fired central heating throughout.

Bed linen, towels, heating and hot water are all included in the price.

There is a great pub/restaurant with fantastic sea views, as well as another good sea food restaurant within easy walking distance in the village, as well as a cafe/bistro/general store selling all the basics plus some wonderful seaside mementos and postcards! In addition, you will find the world famous Craster Kipper company featured on Robson Green's recent documentary series about Northumberland and a lovely art gallery with some interesting pieces by renowned local artists.Golf: There is a lovely golf course at Alnmouth with spectacular views as well s a course in Alnwick - 6 miles.

One well behaved dog is welcome at this property, please enquire. A charge will apply of £20 payable direct to the owner.

Craster

Craster is a small fishing village on the beautiful Northumberland coast made world famous by its smoked kipper house. Dunstanburgh Castle is a pretty coastal walk from the cottage and the beach pub at Low Newton-by-the-sea is a beach walk that is a 'must do'. Great area for families, children, dogs and anyone who likes to spend time at the seaside, walking on uncrowded beaches and visiting the area's amazing local and natural attractions.
