This country house is a stunning, large Grade II listed four bedroom property on two floors, reputed to date back 500 years and has the perfect combination of historic charm, contemporary décor and all the modern facilities you could require.

There is a Jacuzzi Hot Tub in the rear garden.

Great Weston has 4 bedrooms, all the bedrooms can be arranged as twins or super king doubles, three with ensuite shower rooms and the downstairs bedroom has an adjacent bathroom with separate shower. There is a single bed in another bedroom off the Green Room. Ideal for an additional guest.

The large living room has plenty of seating for guests and the dining table is on a mezzanine which is slightly elevated in the sitting room and adds to an open plan feeling in the house.

The kitchen is hand built of oak and every nook and cranny has been used! There is a huge stainless steel Liebherr fridge freezer, Stoves Sterling range cooker and a Bosch built in dishwasher.

There is also a Bosch washing machine and separate Bosch tumble drier to keep on top of the family's laundry! There is a rotary clothes drier in the garden.

The original slate floor runs throughout the kitchen and downstairs living area and adjoins the oak flooring in the living room.

The sunny breakfast room overlooks the rear garden and enjoys the morning sun from the Velux windows in the sloping roof.

The quality and finish of Great Weston is superb, it is maintained to Visit Britain 5* Gold Standard.

The beds are made up with soft down quilts and Egyptian linen bedding. The large soft fluffy bath sheets that are supplied for you, complete the luxurious feel.

The quaint village of Crantock is only a five minute walk from the beach and South West Coastal Path and so, the farmhouse provides the perfect base for a family holiday or, is ideal for couples want to stay in luxury in this beautiful part of Cornwall. Most tourist attractions are only 40 minutes away by car, but you can retreat to a haven of peace and luxury where you can enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer.

3. CHANGE OVER DATE

The start date and end date of holidays (change over day) is fixed and cannot be changed. Short breaks can start on a different day but must start and end within the booking week. Please note we do not start holidays at any other date than the displayed start date.

4. REDUCED OCCUPANCY DISCOUNTS

From September to May cottages are charged at a base rate for the minimum number of guests as stated in the pricing tab. Additional guests may be added as shown in the pricing tab. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term.

5. SHORT BREAK DISCOUNTS

Short Breaks of 4 nights or less are between November and Easter, excluding school holidays, at a discount of 10% off the full week price. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term. Please note: we do not offer short break discounts at other times.

6. DOGS

In cottages where dogs are allowed, they are charged at £40 each. A refundable occupancy deposit may be payable on arrival to the Property Manager. We do not allow more than 2 dogs in any of our properties.

7. MINIMUM AGE

At least half of your party must be over 23 to book one of our cottages.

With the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain, you’ll discover tiny Cornish fishing villages, smuggler’s coves, countless spectacular beaches and sweeping bays, dramatic cliffs and coastlines, plus beautiful moorland and countryside. Located in the far west of Great Britain on a peninsula tumbling into the vast Atlantic Ocean, Cornwall is the only county in England bordered by just one other county, its neighbour Devon. So being almost surrounded by the sea, a magnificent coastline wraps around the county for almost 300 miles.

Crantock

Crantock is a picturesque village of historical note, on the North coast of Cornwall with one of the best beaches in the area. It has an ancient church, two pubs a tea rooms, an art gallery, gift shop and a village store. It is only five miles from Newquay, but a world apart. It is popular with families in the summer and people who wish to surf, walk and enjoy all Cornwall has to offer all year round.

Crantock and Polly Joke beaches:

Crantock Beach is a great beach for families and surfers alike. It is a wide sandy beach with sand dunes between the beach and the village. At low tide you can walk along the beach to West Pentire.

The whole or Cornwall is so pretty and so available to anyone staying in Crantock.

A car is advised. There is a bus service from Crantock Village which can be really useful to serious walkers. There is a taxi service in Crantock Village.

Interaction with guest

Andy and Delia Mills run the office and will deal with all aspects of your booking. Any questions or issues can be discussed in advance. In the week before your stay the Property Manager will contact you to discuss how you would like the beds made up and to check any final details with you. When you arrive, the key is in the key box and the code is personalised to you. This makes for a safer, more secure stay all round. The Property Manager will arrange to either meet or talk to you on the day of arrival (or the next day if you plan to arrive late). Any problems that you cannot find an answer to in the handbook - save for her! On departure, the Property Manager will see you before you leave.

“Wunderschönes renoviertes und modernisiertes Farmhaus in idyllischem Dorf”

Dieser Ort und dieses Haus sind sehr speziell! Man fühlt sich ein bisschen in die Vergangenheit versetzt. Ein altes Farmhaus modernisiert, mit toller Küchenausstattung, jedes Zimmer, alle relativ klein, mit eigenem Bad, die Durchgänge tw. niedrig, so dass man den Kopf einziehen sollte, aber insgesamt wunderschön ausgebaut und wirklich gut gepflegt. Der Garten ist zweigeteilt und kaum einsehbar, so dass man Privatsphäre hat. Ein kleiner Hund ist sehr gut aufgehoben - alle haben Hunde da und der Strand ist voller Hunde, die sich alle irgendwie vertragen. Die Zimmer sind ein wenig hellhörig, manche Fenster klappern, weil sie alt sind, aber das bekommt man in den Griff. Ein nachhaltig beeindruckender und sehr entspannender Urlaub! Dieses Haus und der Ort ist nichts für Partygänger, hier herrschen Friede, Ruhe und Familienleben!

This really is a wonderful property beautifully presented which provides plenty of space for larger groups.Centrally located in the village and an easy walk to Crantock beach, it offers an ideal combination for family groups.

We had a great holiday with family members including our lovely Irish Setters at Great Weston. Easy walk to the dunes and beach with handy shop close by. Facilities were top notch - comfortable beds, impeccable bed linen and towels etc.; the best selection of wine glasses we have ever had to choose from - we celebrated our daughter's 30th birthday at Great Weston - starting with Champagne breakfast at the fabulous huge dining table and everyone could have a matching glass! Good size sunny gardens with large table and chairs to enjoy al fresco dining. A great house for extended family to stay. Would definitely return :)

“Excellent Property and Location”

We searched high and low for a character property, offering four bedrooms, four bathrooms and in a convenient location not far from the beach. On paper Great Weston Farmhouse fitted the bill and it did not disappoint. The property oozes character, charm but is decorated to a very high standard. The property is also very flexible and well equipped with three of the rooms en-suite and able to be presented as Twins or Kings. A washing machine, dryer and dishwasher were all very useful. The cooker was very flexible but required a bit of sussing out. Wi-Fi was good with multiples routers to service the property. The living room had a great log burner which we made use of sparingly due to the un-seasonal higher temperatures. Great Weston offers a split level open plan living/dinging area with plenty of space. Post sightseeing and surfing fatigue meant we didn't really get a chance to enjoy the great collection of games and DVDs provided. Parking to the rear of the property was convenient and safe. Crantock was very quiet, with a local shop less than 50m from the door and two local pubs less than 100m in the opposite direction. Crantock is well located in Cornwall for Newquay and approximately an hour from many of Cornwall's best attractions. Crantock beach is just a 5 minute amble with fantastic water sports right on the door. Cornwall Holiday Cottages Ltd were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely use them and Great Weston Farmhouse again. All in all a wonderful stay.
