The Orchard is a four bedroom detached house in the centre of Crantock Village.

The Orchard has four spacious and light bedrooms. Two have ensuite bath or shower rooms. These two bedrooms have super-king beds that can be also be arranged as single beds. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor. The Orchard is ideal for a large multi generational family, two families sharing or just good friends!

There is a fabulous living space comprising of dining room, kitchen and conservatory all to one side of the house. The beautifully appointed kitchen has everything you need to make your holiday ideal. The spacious Conservatory comes complete with a table tennis table and a selection of games alongside a spacious seating area.

There is a comfortable sitting room with wall mounted TV, plenty of seating complete with a log burner.

There is a huge garden to the rear with paved patio, grassy area and a raised seating deck ideal for catching the sunset over Newquay

On the paved patio you will find a barbeque, garden table and chairs for 8 and a hot tub.

Larger parties of up to 11 people, can be accommodated by staying in both The Orchard and within the same curtilage, The Barn.

All of this and you are only a five minute walk from Crantock's beautiful sandy beach.

Electricty included, oil is metered and charged at cost at the end of your stay.

3. CHANGE OVER DATE

The start date and end date of holidays (change over day) is fixed and cannot be changed. Short breaks can start on a different day but must start and end within the booking week. Please note we do not start holidays at any other date than the displayed start date.

4. REDUCED OCCUPANCY DISCOUNTS

From September to May cottages are charged at a base rate for the minimum number of guests as stated in the pricing tab. Additional guests may be added as shown in the pricing tab. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term.

5. SHORT BREAK DISCOUNTS

Short Breaks of 4 nights or less are between November and Easter, excluding school holidays, at a discount of 10% off the full week price. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term. Please note: we do not offer short break discounts at other times.

6. DOGS

In cottages where dogs are allowed, they are charged at £40 each. A refundable occupancy deposit may be payable on arrival to the Property Manager. We do not allow more than 2 dogs in any of our properties.

7. MINIMUM AGE

At least half of your party must be over 23 to book one of our cottages.

Cornwall : a stunning county with many different faces. There is so much to do, see and explore in Cornwall. With the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain, you’ll discover tiny Cornish fishing villages, smuggler’s coves, countless spectacular beaches and sweeping bays, dramatic cliffs and coastlines, plus beautiful moorland and countryside. Located in the far west of Great Britain on a peninsula tumbling into the vast Atlantic Ocean, Cornwall is the only county in England bordered by just one other county, its neighbour Devon. So being almost surrounded by the sea, a magnificent coastline wraps around the county for almost 300 miles.

Crantock

Crantock is a picturesque village of historical note, on the North coast of Cornwall with one of the best beaches in the area. It has an ancient church, two pubs a tea rooms, an art gallery, gift shop and a village store. It is only five miles from Newquay, but a world apart. It is popular with families in the summer and people who wish to surf, walk and enjoy all Cornwall has to offer all year round.

Crantock and Polly Joke beaches:

Crantock Beach is a great beach for families and surfers alike. It is a wide sandy beach with sand dunes between the beach and the village. At low tide you can walk along the beach to West Pentire.

Polly Joke beach is the next beach around the coast going west. It has been described as one of the best beaches in Cornwall. It has to be walked to, making it less busy than other beaches in Summer.

Pubs and Eating : Crantock has two pubs, the Cornishman and The Old Albion Inn, which are a short walk from the properties in Crantock Village. The Bowgie Inn, in West Pentire, is a short walk from Cormorant, Guillemot and Kittiwake. In Cubert, 2 miles from Crantock, the Smugglers Den, has a reputation for good food and wine.

Children:

The area is well served for daily attractions for children. There are attractions at Dairyland, Newquay Zoo,and Llamaland to name but a few. The best days out are the old fashioned ones .......... exploring the beach, rock-pooling and hiding in the dunes!

There is fantastic surfing to be had on both Crantock and Polly Joke beaches. No need to take the car out, just walk to the beach and then walk back.
