Staying at Rosemaddon will enable you to taste all that Cornwall has to offer. This detached, spacious, quirky, character converted old school house is delightfully decorated and presented to a very high standard. The house offers great accommodation for groups of friends or family.The spacious entrance hall of Rosemaddon leads to the living accommodation but here can be found a cloakroom and laundry room. The laundry room has a washer and separate dryer. Downstairs there is a large living room complete with big comfy sofas and very high ceilings. A wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine floor area with a desk. There are two bedrooms and with a separate shower room to the left of the mezzanine and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom with over bath shower to the right. The bedrooms are (to the left side) one with a standard double bed, one with twin beds, with the shower room on this side. The master bedroom can be made up as a twin or superking double. The kitchen is to the rear of the property. It is very well equipped and is open to the dining room. Sliding doors lead to the patio at the rear where the barbeque and outside dining table and chairs can be found. The garden is split level, at the higher level there is a lawned area with shrubbery. Rosemaddon is centrally located in Crantock Village, just a five minute walk from its expansive beach which is great for surfing. There is access from the parking area into the garden via a gate. Rosemaddon is excellent for guest storage as the garden is very private.

The Cornwall region

Cornwall is an excellent county to visit in the West of England. There is something for everyone.

If you enjoy the outdoor life, this is the County for you. There is excellent walking and from our cottages in Crantock there is no need to even take the car to have a fabulous day out as you can access the South West Coastal Path from the beach.

There is plenty of culture to see too. We have The Eden Project in nearby St Austell, St Michael's Mount near Penzance and of course, St Ives with its beautiful scenery and art galleries. Truro is not too far and offers a taste of city life, Cornwall style.

We have an abundance of fresh sea food and freshly grown vegetables. All locally available.


Crantock is a thriving village with plenty of regular residents as well as visiting holidaymakers. Key village celebrations are:

"Travelled June 2010"

We stayed at Rosemadden in June 2010 with our daughter, husband and her two children. We had previously stayed at Cobb Barn which was lovely but needed a bigger property this time. Rosemadden is amazing from the moment we stepped into the entrance porch and went through into the galleried living room. The house was spotless, the furniture and fittings first class. We liked the fact that we had what was really our own self contained wing of the house and our daughter and her family had their own.
