3. CHANGE OVER DATE

The start date and end date of holidays (change over day) is fixed and cannot be changed. Short breaks can start on a different day but must start and end within the booking week. Please note we do not start holidays at any other date than the displayed start date.

4. REDUCED OCCUPANCY DISCOUNTS

From September to May cottages are charged at a base rate for the minimum number of guests as stated in the pricing tab. Additional guests may be added as shown in the pricing tab. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term.

5. SHORT BREAK DISCOUNTS

Short Breaks of 4 nights or less are between November and Easter, excluding school holidays, at a discount of 10% off the full week price. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term. Please note: we do not offer short break discounts at other times.

6. DOGS

In cottages where dogs are allowed, they are charged at £40 each. A refundable occupancy deposit may be payable on arrival to the Property Manager. We do not allow more than 2 dogs in any of our properties.

7. MINIMUM AGE

At least half of your party must be over 23 to book one of our cottages.

Cornwall : a stunning county with many different faces. There is so much to do, see and explore in Cornwall. With the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain, you’ll discover tiny Cornish fishing villages, smuggler’s coves, countless spectacular beaches and sweeping bays, dramatic cliffs and coastlines, plus beautiful moorland and countryside. Located in the far west of Great Britain on a peninsula tumbling into the vast Atlantic Ocean, Cornwall is the only county in England bordered by just one other county, its neighbour Devon. So being almost surrounded by the sea, a magnificent coastline wraps around the county for almost 300 miles.

Crantock

Crantock is a picturesque village of historical note, on the North coast of Cornwall with one of the best beaches in the area. It has an ancient church, two pubs a tea rooms, an art gallery, gift shop and a village store.

It is only five miles from Newquay, but a world apart. It is popular with families in the summer and people who wish to surf, walk and enjoy all Cornwall has to offer all year round. Crantock Beach is a great beach for families and surfers alike. It has a wide sandy beach with sand dunes between the beach and the village. At low tide you can walk along the beach to West Pentire.

From our delightful luxury self catering cottages, it is possible to walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes if you stay in the village and in under 10 minutes when staying just out of the village. Crantock Beach is ideal for rock pooling, surfing, swimming or just relaxing. There is a beach cafe for snacks. Surf equipment, deck chairs and wind breaks can be hired on the beach.Polly Joke beach is the next beach around the coast going west. It has been described as one of the best beaches in Cornwall. It has to be walked to, making it less busy than other beaches in Summer.

Crantock has two pubs, the Cornishman and The Old Albion Inn, which are a short walk from the properties in Crantock Village. The Bowgie Inn, at West Pentire, is a short walk. In Cubert, 2 miles from Crantock, the Smugglers Den, has a reputation for good food and wine. There are many high quality restaurants nearby such as Odds. If you wish to travel further afield Pats Cabs in Crantock can be relied on for transport. There are many walks in, around and near Crantock, including the South West Coastal Path, which passes by the Village and can be reached on foot from all our cottages.

“What a view”

We stayed at Bay View during October half term with our daughter, husband and three children. What an amazing house the view was out of this world straight across the bay to Goose Rock and Crantock Beach. The house was furnished and fitted to a very high standard. Joe and Amy the owners live next door and went out of their way to ensure everything was ok for us. They even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome along with the tea, coffee, and biscuits. the property was extremley clean and there was everything there that was needed.

This was our second trip to Bay View House and we will be back again! Joe and Amy were the perfect hosts to such a stunning house in an ideal sea view location. The house is set overlooking Crantock Beach on West Pentire and is ideal for families. The house itself is well laid out and feels like hom from home.
