Lavender Barn sleeps 2 adults and a child in a cot. In a Village location close to Crantock beach.

This Grade II listed two bedroom barn conversion, is in the centre of picturesque Crantock village on the north coast of Cornwall. The barn is reputed to date back 200 years. One of three cottages right in the centre of Crantock Village it offers 5* luxury to our guests. The three cottages that share this site and parking are Great Weston Farmhouse (sleeping 8) and Cobb Barn (sleeping 4). All three cottages have a Friday changeover.

Lavender Barn is furnished with oak dining furniture and leather dining chairs. There are two, two seater fabric sofas arranged around the Large Screen TV and log burner.

Lavender Barn is on one level and suitable for those who are mobile or can manage a small number of steps. There are two steps in the hallway leading to/from the bathroom and bedroom. There are no steps between the bathroom and bedroom.

Lavender Barn has oak flooring in the main living room and down the hall to the bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen has Karndean flooring. The bathroom has underfloor heating and is tiled. The bedroom is carpeted in luxury wool carpet.

Lavender Barn has Villeroy & Boch sanitary wear in its luxury bathroom. The double ended bath is ideal for relaxing and easing any aching joints after a bracing walk or simply an energetic surf or dog walk on Crantock Beach.

The fitted hand made oak kitchen has NEFF appliances including fan oven, electric hob, dishwasher, washer/drier and Zanussi side by side fridge/freezer. The kitchen is well equipped for a simple meal for two to a more gourmet experience for guests who simply enjoy having more time to cook whilst on holiday. There is plenty of white porcelain china and serving bowls, complimented with Habitat's more colourful mugs and bowls.

The barn has its own enclosed garden with barbeque and table for four. The garden is to the rear of the property and is laid mainly to shrubs and lawn and accessed by a gate which is off the drive.

Lavender Barn offers a truly comfortable base for guests wishing to explore Cornwall by driving, cycling or walking. Being located in a quiet location in the centre of Crantock Village (where there is a shop, tea rooms and two pubs), it may be that just being here in enough.

Short breaks are only offered between November and Christmas, January to Easter. There is a discount of 10% for breaks less than 4 nights. However, our winter rates are very competitive.

3. CHANGE OVER DATE

The start date and end date of holidays (change over day) is fixed and cannot be changed. Short breaks can start on a different day but must start and end within the booking week. Please note we do not start holidays at any other date than the displayed start date.

4. REDUCED OCCUPANCY DISCOUNTS

From September to May cottages are charged at a base rate for the minimum number of guests as stated in the pricing tab. Additional guests may be added as shown in the pricing tab. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term.

5. SHORT BREAK DISCOUNTS

Short Breaks of 4 nights or less are between November and Easter, excluding school holidays, at a discount of 10% off the full week price. Not available during Christmas, New Year and February Half Term. Please note: we do not offer short break discounts at other times.

6. DOGS

In cottages where dogs are allowed, they are charged at £40 each. A refundable occupancy deposit may be payable on arrival to the Property Manager. We do not allow more than 2 dogs in any of our properties.

7. MINIMUM AGE

At least half of your party must be over 23 to book one of our cottages.

Crantock

Crantock is a picturesque village of historical note, on the North coast of Cornwall with one of the best beaches in the area. It has an ancient church, two pubs a tea rooms, an art gallery, gift shop and a village store.

It is only five miles from Newquay, but a world apart. It is popular with families in the summer and people who wish to surf, walk and enjoy all Cornwall has to offer all year round.

Crantock is the site of an altogether much older settlement - Langurroc, which means the 'dwelling of the monks'. The village gets it name from the Celtic Saint Caranog, who is also known as Carantoc. It is suggested that Crantock was founded by St.Carantacus in the 5th century, who was the son of a Welsh chieftain, and established his church. The present church is reputed to be built upon the same site.
