“Comfortable Home from Home”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2015

My wife and I booked 'Little Haven' at relatively short notice for a one week stay to visit and assist relatives with various tasks that had to be done - so not actually a true, 'holiday' visit. We live in Cumbria and had had quite a taxing journey. The moment we arrived at Little Haven, we received a very warm welcome by Jean and immediately began to relax following our journey. We found the accomodation to be very comfortable, well equipped, clean and spacious for two people. The environment was very relaxing with a wealth of birds visiting the pleasant gardens both in the morning and evening. During our stay we celebrated one of our daughters birthdays, all of our immediate family were to visit us at 'Little Haven' for the celebration and when Jean realised they were going to attend, she kindly offered us the use of her conservatory for the celebration so that we would have more room for the family. A very unexpected, but gratefully accepted gesture. All in all a fabulous place to stay, (which we hope to return to in the future for more of a 'holiday' visit), with very kind, welcoming, hosts. Thank you to both Jean and David. So glad you recieved recognition for your 'Nature Garden Reserve' which we will visit when we next stay. I recomend this property without reservation.

“A warm welcome and cozy flat.”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2012

The warm welcome I received made me feel right at home. I knew the hosts were there if I needed them but they weren't intrusive. Being a single lady, it was nice to know they were just next door. The flat felt home-like and very comfortable. I particularly enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife while I drank my tea each morning and looking at the gardens. Jean stocked the kitchen will every utensil and necessity one could wish for and it was a pleasure to prepare meals there. The location was also perfect for me - in the countryside but close to all the area offered in sights and conveniences. I look forward to returning when I next come to England.

“Excellent unit with friendly hosts”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2012

Booking from Australia, we had to rely on internet information and earlier reviews, and delighted to confirm that the unit was everything the owner and earlier reviews had claimed. My wife and I used the unit as a base to explore the area and the nearby Cotswolds. It was an excellent choice for our requirements.. We would recommend the unit to our friends. “Feeling at home”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2011

We came earlier than expected on the arrival day, but it was no problem to move in. The accommodation got: • A very equipped kitchen, everything you can think about was in it.. • A bathroom with bath and a separate shower in the bedroom. • A private garden, but we could also use the garden of the owners who lives next door. The owners are very kind and helpful. We enjoyed watching al kind of birds who came to visit the private garden. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every day of it.
