One minute from flat to beach and Cowes Green.

Open plan living room/dining room/kitchen with wide reaching sea views - watch yacht races start from the comfort of the sofa! Comfortable double corner sofa bed (seats upto 5), armchair, contemporary fireplace, internet tv and DVD player. Dining area with table and chairs suitable for 6, handmade designer kitchen with solid walnut units and shelves and walnut wall panelling and floor., solid surface worktops. Hob, double oven and grill, microwave, kettle and toaster, washer dryer, sea views.

For infants a folding cot, changing station and high chair are provided. There is suficient space to set a cot up in either bedroom, but please supply your own baby bedding.

The apartment is decorated throughout with nautical artwork and memorabilia to match the location and views.

Please note that a there is a small additional charge per night for bookings in excess of five persons, and that a maximum of six adults will be accomodated, or seven persons if three or more are children. Remember this a two bedroom flat with one bathroom!

The England region

The Isle of Wight is a fabulous holiday destination, with superb countryside walks, long beaches, historic monuments and great vistas. Cowes in particular is world famous for its associations with Royalty (Osborne House, Queen Victoria's holiday residence is in East Cowes), and also for sailing, with the World's largest yacht regatta taking place in early August, and many other regattas running all year round.
For sports enthusiats - there is of course the aforementioned sailing, but also the island has some of the south's best surfing and kite surfing beaches, as well as being popular with cyclists.
For music lovers, the Isle of Wight Festival in July and Bestival in September feature great lineups, as do the summer series of concerts at Osborne House.
For history buffs, there is Carisbrooke Castle, Needles Battery, Arreton Historic village and much more.

Cowes

Sharon Court lies 50m from Cowes Green and the shingle beach (watch yachts racing just a few metres away every week), and is a five minute level walk to Cowes High Street, with its excellent range of Boutique Shops. Attractions such as Osborne House and the Cowes Maritime Museum are in East Cowes, and short walk and a hop across the river on the floating bridge away.
For sailors, the Yacht Haven is a ten minute Walk, and Shepards' Marina fifteen minutes walk away.

“A comfortable,compact apartment in a fantastic location, with fabulous views across the Solent”

However, expecting a quiet break, we were devastated on arrival to fine scaffolding around the building and work being done on the roof. From 8am we were subject to workmen moving around above us and their access to the roof was via a ladder outside the window of bedroom 2! We feel that 'out of courtesy' we could have been warned of this disruption prior to our arrival. The apartment was comfortable and of an acceptable standard but could have been so much better with a little attention; ie the bedding in the main room was rumpled and well used. My first thought was that it hadn't been changed after the previous occupant but it was clean. The door of the bedside cabinet in bedroom 2 was continually 'falling off' which was rather frustrating. The storage for personal belongings in this room was poor. The kitchen: why are there no side plates supplied? why was there only 1 teacup (cracked so unusable) and 3 saucers supplied? Cleaning was not up to standard; the oven had not been cleaned (not a problem as we ate out) and the bathroom sink I cleaned myself. A nice apartment that lacked 'attention to detail'

Hi I'm sorry you had some problems. I'll mention the cleaning omissions to my cleaner, though I worry she may have been rather short of time turning around the aparment - normally she has six hours between guests as the standard check in time is 1600, but you wished to gain entry at 1200 giving her only two hours to clean. I spoke to you on the day you checked in, about 1500, about the roof work and can only offer my apologies again as this has been work outside my control and just two days before your arrival I expected the work to be complete. I had hoped the 50% refund for the affected night compensated for this. In the kitchen there are 8 matching plates and 8 matching bowls, and a large number of mugs, which I hope is sufficient for a two bedroom apartment. Various odd items suchas the sauces are supplied as they can be of use during cooking to supplement full sets. Best regards, Roly
