From the owner

Located right on the famous South West Coastal Path this spacious three bed cottage is perfect for walkers and holiday makers alike. The cottage is furnished in a simple but comfortable style. It is located in one of the most stunning locations on the beautiful south Cornish coast namely Chynhalls Point, Coverack. It is an almost secret location that will inspire you in its beauty and peace. It's surrounded by wonderful walks, sandy beaches and wonderful scenery . From the cottage you can stroll down the Headland to the village of Coverack ( takes about ten minutes) where you will find local shops, the friendly Paris pub, some great restaurants and the pretty harbour.

19 Headlands is tucked behind the old Headland Hotel and is a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. Located on the beautiful south Cornish coast on Chynhall's Point it is very very near the famous SW Coastal path which passes a few meters away from the cottage.

Coverack itself is an amazing place. As mentioned It's surrounded by amazing walks and sandy beaches that you will want to return to again and again.

19 Headlands is a mid terrace two storey cottage located in the lovely and well maintained grounds of the ex-Headlands Hotel. Walk a couple of steps out of the front door of the cottage into the gardens (not fenced) and you will be stunned by the view - it really is amazing.

The house is double glazed and has a spacious living room and kitchen. In fact when we have been there we often open a bottle of wine for the evening meal and that's where we stay chatting about life, Brexit, Donald Trump or whether Abba are going to reform ( lets hope so) amongst other topics!

There are three bedrooms which are composed of two with double beds and one with a single bed. One of the bedrooms has a wonderful view of the Headland, the other two have nice views over the gardens. The Headlands communal gardens (not fenced) are for you to enjoy and have fabulous views . There are benches and places to have a picnic overlooking the sea and spectacular coast. The gardens are great for just chilling out and reading a book with the sound of the waves and birdlife to keep you company. At times you can see dolphins and seals playing in the sea.

There is a TV in the house just in case you want to watch an episode of Poldark and why not its got some fabulous shots of Cornwall.

19 Headlands is a two story cottage and the whole property is for you to use . There is a communal tennis court also for you to enjoy as well. There is footpath to the private Mears beach which is accessed by walking down the headlands footpath - it takes around ten minutes to reach it. At times the waves are good enough to surf and body surfing is a must. You will often spot seals hunting fish in the surrounding coast as you approach the end point of the headlands.

Sorry I can't be there to meet you as I live in Argentina (I use the cottage when I am in the UK ) however, I am contactable if you book and we can communicate by whastap or email if you need anything. Also you will find the other owners very friendly and willing to help should you need to know anything. If there is an emergency I will give you numbers to call so that any problems can be sorted out.

The house is a part of the ex- Coverack Headlands Hotel complex. The main house was converted to apartments around 30 years ago. There are three original cottages and they were the workers housing when the hotel was in existence. Chynhall's Point, where the house is located a beautiful location. As mentioned walk a few steps and you will have one of the most amazing views in the UK - simply stunning. Have breakfast in the gardens opposite the cottage overlooking the impressive coastline and you will probably still be there for lunch!

19 Headlands has two allocated parking spaces.

First, I would like to say many thanks for your comments. It’s always helpful to know how we can improve things in the cottage. As you say it’s a stunning location and the cottage is, as mentioned, tucked behind the old hotel building just a few feet away from those glorious views and beaches you talk about. Really sorry about the washing up liquid, salt and pepper, the wonky bench etc. All have already been sorted or are in the process of being sorted and thanks for letting us know. As regards how to get to the cottage. We do give instructions on how to get to the cottage with the post code on our information sheet. Putting the post code into Goggle Maps should have got you there safely. I realise not being used to Cornwall can be a bit mind boggling with its charming but tiny country lanes so I will check the directions out again to see if we can improve them on how to arrive at the cottage. Once again, many thanks for your review and I am so happy you had a great time. David Cummings Owner

How do damage deposits work?

If David (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
