Location description from manager

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region

Two fast bubble lifts make Le Praz the gateway to the Three Valleys where another 200 ski lifts and thousands of personnel keep over 600km of groomed pistes in top condition. The terrain caters for all levels of ability ranging from long, wide groomed pistes and easy lifts to challenging mogul fields, steep couloirs and bags of off piste for those mighty powder days.

For snowboarders, the snow parks of Courchevel and Meribel are among the best in Europe whilst the varying terrain means that you can always pick a route that won't involve hiking around the mountain!

The traditionally good snow, north facing slopes and extensive network of snow cannons that service the pistes enable you to ski back to the village throughout the season.

For non-skiers, walking and cross country skiing tracks wind their way through the woodlands and around the ice-covered lakes, popping out to discover fantastic views or watch the downhill pistes. A modern system of bubble lifts and cable cars allow access to the highest peaks, even on foot.

Courchevel-Le Praz

All of our properties are within 400 metres of the lifts which take you straight up into Courchevel 1850. From here you can access the entire Courchevel valley, hop over to Meribel or ski down to La Tania or Le Praz.

One of the nicest runs is down to our Chalet Les Clocherets at the end of a day's skiing. Tree lined pistes, some of the prettiest in the Three Valleys, lead you to the village of Le Praz and to within 250 metres of the chalet in normal snow conditions.

“Fantastic”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2015

I meant to do this review months ago as we had a really wonderful stay in Les Clocherets. It is a comfortable spacious chalet, with large heated basement room where we could keep skis, boots, and our grand-daughter's pushchair . It is a fairly level walk to the ski lifts - 5 - 10 minutes, and is close to the village shop and boulangerie. We opted to be catered and that was a really good deal - gourmet level breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, so we all felt thoroughly spoilt all week and really relaxed. We booked through Evasion Travel and cannot recommend them highly enough - they are knowledgeable about their properties and the area, great attention to detail, safe comfortable transfers and just wonderful customer services - we have booked through them three times and are planning our return to them in January. My only reservation for the area is that it is not as good for beginners as its red runs down to the village, but there is the option of using the gondola or taking a bus from 1850, so definitely not impossible, and worth it for this chalet.

Many thanks for your kind words, it is always a pleasure to have you and your family stay in our properties and we look forward to hosting you again next season. Sarah Smith Resort Manager

“A great little chalet for location & quality.”

We had a fantastic stay in chalet clocherets. The chalet has everything you need. A lovely big open fire, ensuite rooms & a real alpin feel. It's a very short walk to the lifts, bars etc. The evasion staff were very helpful & aranged all our lift passes, airport transfers & ski hire. We'll be back!

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay, we would love to welcome you back...return customers are offered loyalty discounts. Many thanks Sarah Resort Manager

“Pre Christmas break”

Reviewed 25 May 2015

We spent a few days at this fantastic catered chalet. The staff couldn't do enough for us, and the food and wine on offer was amazing. After a days skiing we would receive a warm and friendly welcome back at the chalet with a roaring log fire and tea & cakes! The ski lifts were only minutes away and there was a wide range of runs available to suit all levels of skier. Courchevel itself had numerous bars and restaurants - all very reasonably priced. The chalet was warm and cosy and the beds were very comfortable. We arranged for evasion travel to collect and drop us at the airport - this was well worth doing.

It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and I hope you will return next winter. Many thanks Sarah Resort Supervisor

“Splendid”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2015

Lovely, comfortable house with plenty of room. Reclining chairs and sofas much appreciated after a hard days skiing. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed and local shops provided us with good selection of supplies. Local butcher had a daily menu of freshly prepared dishes if you didn't feel like cooking. The village is pretty and local bar friendly, with reasonably priced food. Had to go up to above 1850m for snow in late March but easy to get to and runs to suit all abilities. Pedestrian ski pass a bargain at 69euro for non skiers.

Thank you for taking the time to review Les Clocherets. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We would love to help you out again next year so please do not heistate to contact me for further details and we will be sure to offer you a great loyalty discount. Happy Easter.
