The School House is a spacious Victorian property in a beautiful spot on Exmoor making it a perfect destination for family and friends get-togethers. As the name suggests, this property was once a school for the local villages but it has since been transformed into memorable and comfortable accommodation for 11 people (up to 13 including sofa bed) plus cot.The open-plan living/dining room has a large wood-burner and plenty of comfortable seating, a full-size table tennis table and an upright piano. The kitchen adjoins the living area and leads out onto the delightful terrace. Location description from owner

The England region

Exmoor is situated in South West Britain, specifically across West Somerset and North Devon. Often referred to as England's best kept secret, Exmoor is a wonderful holiday destination for anyone looking for a holiday in the great outdoors! There's so much to see and do, from short walks to long expeditions across the moors or horse riding, taking in a safari or sight-seeing at your own pace around the 'picture postcard' villages and hamlets.

Countisbury

Countisbury is an attractive rural parish in North Devon and within Exmoor National Park. The 'wilds' of the moorland literally tumble into the sea creating dramatic cliffs and a breathtaking coastline. Exmoor National Park is a popular holiday destination for walkers, cyclists and horse riders as well as those wishing to enjoy the many square miles of beautiful countryside and coastline and there a few better places to experience these activities than Countisbury. The picturesque villages of Lynton and Lynmouth are nearby, famous for the funicular cliff railway that runs between the two villages. The capital of North Devon is Barnstaple and provides an extensive range of facilities including the famous Victorian pannier market and Butchers Row.
