As well as the standard furniture, each room has quilts, additional blankets and throws as well as a hot water bottle for the winter nights but rest assured, sheets are all that are needed during the summer months, as well as a selection of books.
Each room is bright and airy, original in character and has a lovely garden view which stretches out over the surrounding countryside.
Situated on the first floor with panoramic views (over the garden and Rennes les Bains countryside), our comfortable six seater lounge has original terracotta tiles to maintain a cool environment during the warmer months but we have supplied blankets to snuggle into when the winter nights draw in. A new flat screen television has been installed with a dual DVD player/ stereo as well as a selection of films for days when nothing but comfort and movies will do.
We have left a Remington foot spa in the house for those of you who are staying at Maison Bethany to walk the Cathar trails or to visit the ski resorts, a hairdryer to save you bringing your own, plenty of books to exchange when you reach the end of yours, a yoga mat and two DVDs, and a few board games to get everybody involved.
KITCHEN and DINING ROOM
A fully equipped kitchen has been fitted with everything we hope you will need to cook and dine comfortably, as well as a typically French-style dining table and chairs with enough trimmings to make sitting down to eat a pleasant experience.
A washing machine has also been installed for you to use as needed.

The garden does have river frontage with a wonderful natural sunken pool for day and night time dipping, feel free to bare all but do watch out for the trout!

"Delightful house in Rennes les Bains"
Enjoyed a brilliant 2 weeks with family and friends at Maison Bethany. Rennes les Bains is an entertaining small village with lots going on. Restaurants very reasonable and a few local shops. The house was excellent, laid out on three floors and exactly as described. The garden was amazing, with river frontage.

"Just relax and enjoy."
Stayed several times at this amazing house - early summer and in autumn - with family members - and also with only my husband , and each time had such a relaxing holiday. All our family, of different generations will say the same, of the effect the house had on our holiday. Marvellous. The house is light and airy , and fresh and clean, with everything needed, and more, to make our holiday just fabulous. So much thought put into furnishings etc, as well as books galore and board games, television and dvds for when quiet times required. Simple food starter provided too.Garden, with decking and sunbeds, table and chairs and outdoor BBQ all awaiting you, and private access to the river for swimming, dipping in the hot sun, or fishing. Village small, cosy alongside the river. Restaurants, bars in village square, in hotel and all alongside the river, and there is small bakery providing delicious breads. Wonderful for strolls to spa at one end of the village and campsite at other. Small markets some days too. Plenty of supermarkets in local towns not too far away. But the glory is in the region itself, whether for walks or trips into hills, forests, seaside, or plenty historic sites for the culture seekers too. Mirepoix was delightful, shops, market and medieval setting. Carcassonne is absolutely wonderful, only an hour away. Collioure is a fabulous seaside visit, any day of the week, Sunday for market. Andorra worth the trip for tax free goods, but remember limit allowed. Scenery stunning. The photographs taken on all of our visits are fantastic, and still don't do justice to our stay in this wonderful house, village, region. Just booked again for a week in May. Can't wait.

The area constantly surprises you although essentially it’s a quiet village it’s very interesting, beautiful and full of characters. When we arrived we took a walk to the square (5min) away and stumbled upon a live Jazz band playing music. The atmosphere was great, the weather was hot, families were dancing and the restaurants were buzzing. It was a memory that will stay with me for a long time. When we got to the house it was better than we had imagined. Classic French style’s mixed with modern day touches. Beautiful, straight out of a magazine! The garden is just so lush; we felt like kings of the village, it’s huge with a fresh water stream running along the bottom and a decked BBQ area. It’s close to everything you need. Supermarket, picnic areas, lakes, mountains, castles, towns, you name it. Something for all the family. Just a few weeks now before we return and we can’t wait!
