Location description from owner

The Andalucia region

The Costa de la Luz (known as the Spanish Algarve) is an unspoilt part of Spain, with a beautiful climate all the year round, miles of clean sandy beaches & interesting architectural heritage.

Ayamonte itself, has an interesting culture, a long history and there are many places to visit. As well as wonderful beaches on which to sunbathe or practise sports, there is a busy commercial centre with restaurants and bars. There is an old medieval centre in the town with historical buildings, narrow roads and a very old Spainish atmosphere. There are no cars in the central area which makes a stroll amongst the shops ,restaurants and bars very pleasant.
As well as the two golf courses on Costa Esuri there are several others in the area and just over the border in Portugal.

Heulva is the area from which Christopher Columbus sailed, and the town of Huelva which is the capital of the province, is the closest city to Ayamonte. A big port with all the associated industries, it has good shopping and some great Spanish architecture.

Well worth a visit is Seville which is only an hour’s drive from Ayamonte. It is the capital of Andalucía and is considered one of Spain’s most captivating cities, and is well worth a visit. It is a city full of culture and history. In Seville is the Alcazar, which is a Moorish palace rich in decorative tiles and carved ceilings, and La Giralda (the bell tower of Seville’s cathedral which was formally a 98m high mosque minaret). The Juderia’s maze of white walled alleys, near the Cathedral, evokes the atmosphere of a Moorish city.

A must-visit on your tour around the sights that remind us of Christopher Columbus’ is the Monastery of Santa Maria of Rábida. This Franciscan monastery can be accessed through the bridge that crosses the Tinto River. It visited by countless tourists each year and thrones on a hill which is covered and surrounded by gardens and pine woods. Also located here is the Iberoamerican Forum which opened its doors for the first time in 1991.

Costa Esuri Casa and Golf

Costa Esuri is a new development of properties located on the outskirts of Ayamonte. Casa Magnolia is situated in one of the new Andulsian style villages.
Faro airport is only 35 minutes drive away and Seville airport is about 90 minutes drive. Situated in a place of exceptional beauty, Costa Esuri is next to a nature reserve, and next to the River Guadiana which is Spain’s border with Portugal.
The townhouses and villas are set up on the hills within a glorious natural environment with beaches nearby and in addition it has two 18-hole golf courses. A wide variety of foods and leisure facilities can be enjoyed all year round in nearby Ayamonte or just over the border in Portugal.
Costa Esuri is a unique residential development within a great resort, in a place yet to be discovered and in a relatively undeveloped part of Spain.

“The most relaxing time ever”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2013

A true “Home from Home”. The rental provided us with the perfect stress free, relaxing holiday from beginning to end. As soon as we had booked the owner sent us a literature pack with local information and details of our meet and greet. Although we arrived at midnight this service was informative and unhurried. The house is really spacious, beautifully furnished and in a quiet, yet accessible location. It is absolutely immaculate and every need is catered for; from a well stocked kitchen through to even having beach towels provided! The outside areas are spacious with tables and chairs on both the top and ground floor level, and plenty of sunbeds are provided. The pool area and surrounding grounds are immaculately maintained and we practically had the pool to ourselves the whole time. Close by are wonderful walks along tidal estuaries where flamingos, avocets and stilts can all be easily seen from public footpaths (senderos) I would strongly recommend this rental property and would certainly book again.

“Lovely Property - Real 'Home from Home'”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2012

This is a lovely spacious house and offers every home comfort that you need on holiday. It is well equipped and well furnished and I felt at home there as soon as I arrived. There is so much outdoor space with both a front and back garden and 3 terraces as well as a lovely pool which we more or less had to ourselves. The gardens and areas around the house are very well maintained on a daily basis and there are some lovely views from the top roof terrace. This is a quiet area, so not a property if you're looking for bars on your doorstep but this was exactly what we wanted and there are so many lovely places to visit without having to travel too far. I have rented many properties in Spain over the years and I have to say that this so far has been the best!
