The Canary Islands region
Situated in the sunny South of Costa Adeje it is blessed with a wonderful all year round pleasant climate. Even in the winter months temperatures rarely fall below 22C. In summer the cooling influence of the Atlantic means it rarely rises above 30C. No wonder Tenerife is known as the 'Fortunate Island'
When someone digs into the roots of culture in the Canary Islands they encounter an identity of a people with strong customs, who defend their past while forging on with the present.
In a cordial manner we invite you to follow the path of pleasant but profound comings and goings of the development of a community bursting with its own personality and very proud of it.
The synthesis is no barrier to learning that these people own a personality unique to the rest of the world.
To delve into the Canary culture, enjoy everything from its aboriginal customs to the constant doings of present day life, is a wonderful way of better understanding the attractions of these incomparable islands.
The invitation is standing and together we will learn about the artistic manifestations in art-loving communities, as well as the architecture, sculpture, arts and crafts, music, even to the peculiar way the Canary people have of speaking. It is a unique opportunity to learn about the most beautiful Canary traditions.
A good part of the Canary Island's festivity's origins have a religious substrate, but in others their roots can be found among the aboriginal traditions. Most festivities have suffered variations with the passing of time, and while some have disappeared, other were born full of fresh energy with different aims.
The reasons for celebrating are varied and were originated by many issues related to social development.
The predominating festivities are those in which the religious rituals mark the guidelines, but those in La Rama are closer to very ancient traditions.
There are fun activities that aim to end the drought and its sequels of hunger and misery, while others such as the always welcome carnivals, not only aim at entertaining great masses of the population but also at leaving behind good economic dividends for those merchants related to this activity.
These festivities are an expression of life, featuring popular sentiments and in the Canary Islands they maintain their freshness because they are constantly evolvi
It all began in 1965, when the entrepreneur Luis Diaz de Losada undertook the ambitious project to find the finances needed to purchase 3 000 000 m2 field blank and barren in the south of the island. And it was in December of that year that Santiago Puig and his son became the founding pioneers and promoters of the move to become the most touristic islands of the Canaries and contribute to social and economic development of Tenerife.
105.95 km ². Costa Adeje is the flagship of Adeje .It represents the border line between Las Americas and a different way of enjoying Tenerife. Starting from the “Barranco del Rey”, Los Cristianos- Arona trought Playa de Torviscas, Playa de Fañabe, Playa del Duque, el Beril, La Caleta, El Puertito, Playa Paraiso, Callao Salvaje and ending by the "Barranco de Erques" municipality of Guia de Isora, it is possibly the only high standards destination of the island. Since the construction of the Reina Sofia International Airport, this area has become a preferred destination because of its location, less than 4 hours from most European capitals, being the only country in the European Community where the sun reigns throughout of the year thanks to its microclimate average 20 º to 23 º
Climate: Average 20 º to 23 º.Dozens of microclimates are easily recognizable from the massive Adeje through the desert of Playa Paraiso and Callao Salvaje coming to the beaches of Playa de las Americas
Most of the residents of Costa Adeje are an integrated part of the council, because the South would not exist without the presence of foreigners so everyone feels at home. Many cultural centers have been established to prove that tourism can mate with culture such as craft centers, libraries, cultural centers, dance and theater, photography, art galleries, cinema and Conference. Each January 20 Feast of “San Sebastian” the peasants and farmers will meet you in order to devote themselves to the saint. Holy Week the inhabitant of Adeje will meet you to attend the theatrical representation of the death and passion of Christ and then the famous procession, Local people will draw biblical scenes with flowers on the ground of ancient streets. And of course , every October, during the traditional festival "Romeria" in honor of the” Virgen de la Encarnación and Santa Ursula”, you will not only enjoy the local traditions but also offered generously to eat and drink.

"Good roof terrace, good location"
The apartment had everything we needed and was really spacious for two of us. The pool is just outside and wasn't too busy. There are great views of the coastal area and a short (ish) walk to a large choice of restaurants. The hill back meant we used cabs but the fare was only 3 euros. We would definitely return if we go back to Tenerife.
Thank you very much for your review, glad you would come back. Means alot that you enjoyed our home as much as we do. Regards Carmen

"FantastIc outside space"
Stunning apartment, great location ideal for my husband and I and young son. All you could wish for in terms of space, especially in respect of the amazing balcony that allows you to enjoy the long evenings and the pool area was safe for a 5 year old. We felt very secure in the gated environment. Had a great holiday and would love to return. Thanks

"Brilliant apartment with super sun terraces"
What I really liked about this apartment was the space, the terraces and the presentation. It was spotlessely clean with a whole host of extra little bits and pieces to make our stay more comfortable. it's just like a home from home. We were greeted on arrival and were contacted by the owner a couple of times to make sure that everything was to our liking. We liked it that much that we have already booked to go back. Highly recommended.

"Best balcony ever, lovely apartment, great location"
This is a great spacious apartment, the two balconies were superb. Stayed with my 11 year old son and parents for a week after Christmas 2012. We had a car so we could travel around a little but the walk to Port Colon or the beach at Fanabe only 15/20 minutes - a little more back up the hill! The apartment is definitely more luxurious than ones I have stayed in Tenerife before and therefore good value for money. The complex is nice and quiet and the pool clean, the supermarket opposite is good for all requirements. Have to mention the large balcony again as we spent many hours relaxing and soaking up the lovely winter sun her, it's definitely the best part of the apartment. Good communication from owners and local contact through holiday too.
