With a grand reception staircase, comfy sofas in the drawing room, log fires in the hearth on cooler evenings, books lining the walls this house is a world away from the hustle and bustle ...

The Upper Dee valley, an area of outstanding scenic beauty, has the internationally famous salmon fishing River Dee, golfing at clubs in Chirk and Bala, and Llangollen has an excellent 18 hole golf course, kayaking and canoeing at The National White Water Centre on the River Tryweryn and sailing at Llyn Tegid, Bala. Pheasant and clay pigeon shooting are available in the vicinity. Bod Erw Guest House is an ideal base from which to explore the nearby Welsh market towns, historic buildings, castles, music festivals
