Location description from owner

The East Anglia region

Suffolk is a county of historic origin in East Anglia, England. It has borders with Norfolk to the north, Cambridgeshire to the west and Essex to the south. The North Sea lies to the east.

The county is low-lying with few hills, and is largely wetland habitat and arable land with the wetlands of The Broads in the North. The Suffolk Coast and Heaths are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Corton

On site you can take advantage of the friendly atmosphere of the club house with panoramic views of the sea. If cooking is not for you, the club house serves meals daily, in addition the village has 2 pubs and various take away restaurants within walking distance of the bungalow. The famous Norfolk Broads is right on our doorstep with its diverse wildlife and boating facilities.

Corton is a coastal village in Suffolk, located a few miles to the North of Lowestoft. Corton's beaches are located along the base of a line of cliffs. The cliffs at Corton have been an important source of fossil remains and geological information.

When in Corton, you can visit the scenic Norfolk Broads, the diverse coastal resort of Lowestof and great Yarmouth, the varied wildlife, picturesque villages and market towns, various National trust and English Heritage properties nearby, the historic city of Norwich with its Cathedral, castle, museums and shops just a short drive away.

Interaction with guest

I normally post out the keys to my guests with all the information they will need to enjoy no10. There are still emergency sets kept on site. We feel that your holiday should start from the moment you arrive, so it is good to have access without the bother of booking in etc. I am not on site, but I have a very good housekeeper if there are any problems. Or Waterside Park has a very helpful reception in case of any emergencies and I will always only be a phone call away. There are many restaurants and pubs in the area and we prefer our guests to find out for themselves their favourite, as we have found our in past everybody looks for different things especially in restaurants. We also have plenty of leaflets with info and places to visit.

“As advertised”

First it lived up to our expectations, web pictures tell the real story re No. 10 The chalet itself, was homely, clean and tidy, and in an excellent location. Would recommend to all, be it families or romantic weekend. Owners Noel & Maggie made the booking process very easy.

Just back from 4 days ay no.10 bungalow.Had a lovely break from hustle and bustle of life .TThis is such a lovely place to stay.Very clean with everything youd need .We brought stuff that we didn't need as they were already there ie. toilet rolls , teabags, coffee and much more. This is a five star place.Beds very comfy with great pillows ,We had breakfast on the decking watching the ships go by and drinks in the evening watching the sun go down. You don't need to drive as the bus stops outside the park to take you to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft .The White Horse pub across the road serves very good food as does the Chinese.Would recommend this bungalow no problem.Hope to come back with our granddaughter when shes old enough to enjoy the freedom of this park

“Is What It Says on the Tin, and More”

Often you see great photos of accommodation, only to be disappointed with the real thing. No 10 has been tastefully decorated and has a homely feel. I found everything I needed and really didn't want to leave. It's quietly off the beaten track yet close to main roads and a short drive from Lowestoft, Hopton and Gorleston, all have lovely beaches. I would recommend bringing cases with wheels as a bit of a walk to the chalet if carrying weight, but worth it for the view. There is a Chinese takeaway which I thought was good, more natural tasting than many. My favourite points were the power shower and the sea view, where there was always something different to see from sunrises to the twinkling lights from night time shipping.

“Stunning views gorgeous bungalow”

Reviewed 12 Feb 2016

Wow what a place, the bungalow itself is beautiful, laid out very well, exceptionally clean and tidy, and everything you could need whilst you stay. The location is brilliant, stunning views from both the main bedroom (wake up, open blinds to see the sea view, just fab) and the lounge/dinner, nothing better than getting up, making a cuppa tea and sitting watching the sun rise up over the sea view, watching and counting the boats out on the horizon. Plus very handing to head off to do some sightseeing of the local areas, pleasurewood hills is close by for a fun day out, so is Africa Alive for those who love animals, plus Thrigby Hall Gardens another zoo is also fairly close by, Great Yarmouth is a short drive up the road, with lovely beaches to play or walk along, and to just drive along the coast taking in the sights, also very handing for a day out on the Norfolk Broads. The way the lounge/dinner is laid out means you get these stunning views whether your sitting having breakfast or dinner, or just laying back on the sofas relaxing. The bedrooms are all a good size, with enough storage, and good size family bathroom, again lovely to have storage for all your bits whilst your there. it's great having a little porch/entrance hall so you can come in and take your coats and boots off before actually entering the bungalow. The kitchen is a nice workable size, we cooked a breakfast everyday and all our evening meals, really just so we could make the most of the sea views! Maggie is very helpful and friendly and made booking the holiday a real pleasure, and the place just felt like home from home, on arrival there was a welcome tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, milk, biscuits and some chocolates, and a lovely fresh bunch of flowers on the table. Thank you Maggie for a wonderful holiday home and for allowing us to share your beautiful bungalow with stunning views, we felt very privileged.

“Lovely Holiday”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2015

This is our 3rd year at no 10 Waterside and it gets better every year. Everything is in the bungalow that you need to make you feel at home and Maggie is always really helpful and prompt with the booking. My 10 year old son loves going here as there is so much to do on site and around the area and he makes lots of friends. The holiday was fabulous which was helped by 10 days of great weather. Already booked again for next year!
