Fuerteventura is the longest island in the Canary archipelago. It boasts privileged weather conditions, lonely heavenly beaches, which turns it into the island of tranquillity, nature, sun, sand and sea...

Once a sleepy fishing village, Corralejo is the principal resort on the island, built around its original harbour the narrow streets in this area house an abundance of shops, restaurants and plazas, but the resort still retains it's unique calmness and tranquility.

The beaches in the dunes are a main draw to anyone visiting the island and look out onto Lobos island and neighbouring Lanzarote, with the ferries now completing the journey from Corralejo Harbour to Lanzarote in approx. 15 mins.

The main street has numerous shops selling everything from clothes, perfume, leather goods and gifts, in addition there are a varied and interesting choice of restaurants from all over the world.

Corralejo has an amazing array of beaches with powder white sand and turquoise waters. A beach lovers paradise coupled with amazing opportunities to be adventurous on the water sports front.

Distances:
The El Campanario Commercial Centre houses a large supermarket, a few cafe/bars and an abundance of shops - an approx. 7 mins walk. Taxi rank is located to the side of the Centre. The only water park on the island is an approx. 15 mins leisurely stroll with the weekly market 2 mins walk further. The main street with the busier restaurants and bars is also an approx. 15/20 mins walk (or a 2/3 mins taxi ride)

Coast/Beach :
A 5/8 minutes stroll to the nearest golden sandy beach with a sprinkle of cafe bars. About a 5 minutes drive to the famous sand dunes. The harbour area has an interesting mix of sandy and rocky areas, very child friendly, where you can also see locals going about their fishing.

Restaurants: Indian, Chinese, Mexican and Italian restaurants, traditional and international cuisine and also a great choice of fish restaurants at the harbours' waterside restaurants.

Special interest holidays:
Fuerteventura is the place to be if your interest revolves around water and watersport !! Varied and interesting choice of tours, excursions, rentals or lessons available - from deep sea fishing, kite buggies/surfing, boogy boarding, wind surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, to dolphin safaris ...

Exploring:
Car is not essential because of location of Residencial Las Dunas but is recommended if you wish to explore the Island.

Golf:
The Fuerteventura Golf Club course is at the resort of Caleta de Fusta.

Ferry:
Crossings to Lanzarote on a daily basis from Corralejo harbour. Crossing takes an approx 15 mins

Excursions: Other excursions on offer in Corralejo - quad tours, Jeep safari, glass bottom tours to Los Lobos, whole island tours, combat games, trike tours, Oasis Park - to name just a few!!

“A really relaxing holiday”

We spent 7 nights at this accommodation which was clean, nicely presented and well equipped for our stay. With it's own private pool, tidy gardens and other sport and exercise extras the complex was perfect. The apartment was located a few min walk away from El Campanario where we could shop, eat and drink and on Thursday and Sunday they had a lovely canarian craft market and live entertainment. A further few min walk took you down to the beach or onto the main street of Corralejo. The location was ideal, and there were plenty of things to do if needed, lovely places to eat and the locals were very friendly and welcoming with a very laid back attitude to life in general. We thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing experience. And the very warm sun, the cold beers and the very large G n T's may well attract us to revisit soon.

We stayed in this apartment for 11 nights over the Xmas & new year period. The apartment is clean & tidy & in a good position overlooking the pool. The complex is very well maintained, is quiet & in an excellent location within walking distance to all the main attractions. It is approx a 25 min walk to the old town/harbour & if you wanted to get a taxi back it is about €3. The booking process was very easy & Siwsan responded promptly & answered any questions we had. Keith & Jayne, the property managers were very friendly & when I asked about some cushions for the chairs on the balcony they appeared the next day! We would recommend this apartment to friends & family.

Just returned from staying at this apartment for 11 fantastic nights. We found it was exactly as it is advertised,well equipped,clean,secure with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The complex is kept to a high standard as it is well maintained by gardeners,cleaners and the pool cleaned every morning. It's a shortt stroll to the main town of Corralejo,where there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars that will keep you entertained during your stay. Keith and Jayne the property managers are always helpful and on hand if need be. Would definitely go back and recommend to family and frinds. Thank You Siwsan and Neil.

“Lovely place for a relaxing winter warmer”

Booked this appartment online because it it looked nice in the photos, and was not disappointed. Swisan replies to all emails promptly and is extremely helpful. The appartment is well furnished with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. The Residential Las Dunas is a small resort, again very clean and well kept, safe and secure. The entrance is kept locked and you have your own key. The pool area is lovely with enough sun beds although the water was a bit cold in March. It is a 5 minute walk to the shopping centre which has several bars,restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Another 10-15 mins gets you to the town centre where you are spoilt for choice with some very nice restraints and bars around the harbour. There is live music in many of the bars most evenings as well as the music square behind the beach front bars. March is carnival month and there were carnival processions from about 8pm most evenings, with entertainment at the main stage in the harbour area all night for the night owls. The Dunes just outside Corralejo are spectacular and there are plenty of beautiful beaches to choose from. In all we had a lovely week chilling in the sun away from the winter weather at home.

We stayed here for 11 nights in December, 2 adults and 2 young children. Ideally I would say the apartment is perfect for 2 adults and perhaps 1 child. A little cosy, but perfectly clean, and everything in good working order. The balcony has a lovely view of the pool. It is in a lovely peaceful, quite complex away from any traffic. You are just a 5 minute walk from a supoermarket, and a few restaurants, cafes and shops. A further 15 minutes and you reach the town centre. Keith and Jayne who manage the property are very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Really helped us out! WIFI is not included during your stay. I believe you can buy an internet pass from the local bar 2 mins walk away, and there is also access in the communal courtyard. Overall a lovely stay, and would definately recommend!

Fabulous apartment in a fabulous complex, we really enjoyed our stay and met some lovely people, quite a walk into the main town so if you are less mobile it would be a taxi ride only 4 euros, but not far from the local supermarket and to a lovely beach . Wasn't a problem for us as we love walking. The owners were very helpful and very nice. We will definitely return. Thank you

The apartment was as described, the weather for January was exceptional, we really enjoyed our 2 weeks in Corralejo.The apartment was very good value for money, There is a good supermarket 5 mins walk from apartment, El Campanario Commercial Centre, just look for the clock tower. Can recommend this apartment without any problems.

A very well looked after apartment a short walk to the resort centre We enjoyed the pool area,free sun beds and lots of space. Wi-F- on site. The balcony was excellent overlooking the pool which was lit up at night,perfect for that late bottle of wine A very good value for money holiday. Already booked up for 2013 .
