Thanks to its Mediterranean climate, Cyprus' weather is easy to predict. If you want it hot, go between June and September – the thermometer can climb up to 40°C. For a comfier blast of warmth, try April, May or October, when the temperature hovers between 17°C and 25°C. There's not much variation in the temperature across the island, although the western side is sometimes a degree or 2 cooler than the east. Winters are pretty mild, too, with temperatures nudging up to 20°C even in December. December to March sees a bit of rain, but it's usually only a few inches each month.

Location description from owner

The Paphos District

Paphos is a coastal city in the southwest of Cyprus and the capital of Paphos District.
The currently inhabited city is New Paphos. It lies on the Mediterranean coast, about 50 km (31.07 mi) west of Limassol (the biggest port on the island), which has an A6 highway connection. Paphos International Airport is the country's second largest airport.

Near Palaepaphos (Old Paphos) at the seaside of Petra tou Romiou is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty and the founding myth is interwoven with the goddess at every level, so that Old Paphos became the most famous and important place for worshipping Aphrodite in the ancient world. In Greco-Roman times Paphos was the island's capital, and it is well known for the remains of the Roman governor's palace, where extensive, fine mosaics are a major tourist attraction. Paul the Apostle visited the town during the 1st century AD. The town of Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage.

Paphos enjoys a subtropical-Mediterranean climate, with the mildest temperatures on the island.

Paphos has been selected as a European Capital of Culture for 2017, along with Aarhus.

Coral Bay

Coral Bay is a popular tourist resort in the Peyia municipality 6 km North of the city of Paphos.

The coast to the north and to the south of Coral Bay is characterized by rocky headlands and sea caves, Coral Bay itself is a 600m crescent of soft white sand, enclosed by a pair of limestone headlands.

Coral Bay beach carries an EU Blue Flag certification which means that it adheres to all standards, rules and regulations required by the relevant committee of the European Union.

The broader area of Coral Bay encloses another beach called Potima Bay. It is situated about 1.5 km / 1 mile away bordering the boundaries of Kissonerga village
