“Lovely Cottage in Wales”

Reviewed 30 Dec 2013

We decided to get away for the Chirstmas break and both the cottage and the location were exceptional! The owner Ann showed us around the property and we were so surprised of how spacious it was. We had an idea of what the property would look like from the picture but it was so much bigger and cosier than we could of imagined. There were so many homely touches from extra blankets to a radio in the ktichen. Also the kitchen was more equiped then we could have imagined! Ann even baked a Christmas cake and left mulled wine and cheese on our arrival. The cottage was also beautifully decorated with Christmas decoration which added to the warmt and time of year. The views was also gorgeous. We absolutely loved the log fire and my partner enjoyed setting this up every evening! The cottage was easy to get to and our sat nave guided us directly to the door. Conwy offers so much in terms of both shops and activities. There is a local spa but also a Tesco a short drive over the bridge. We enjoyed all the local hill walks, climbed part of Snowdonia, went mining and house riding! The amount of acitivities are endless. We cannot wait to visit Wales again and even though we believe in visiting different locations both the cottage and Conwy are drawing us back! Thanks Ann

Thank you so much for your kind review.I am delighted that you enjoyed the cottage and appreciated how much Conwy and the local area has to offer, whatever the weather! It was lovely to meet you both and wish you all the best for the New Year.Ann

“The Perfect Getaway”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2013

We have just returned from our stay at this cottage and have had a perfect holiday. The cottage is top quality and has everything you could wish for and more! The view from the bedroom balcony is stunning, and a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine. The location is excellent, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to visit the many local attractions. We look forward to returning during the cooler months so that we can enjoy the wood burner. Many thanks to Ann and Peter for the wine to celebrate our anniversary, such a lovely thing to do. I will be recommending this cottage to family and friends. Thankyou!!

Thank you very much for your generous review.I am delighted that you enjoyed the cottage and location so much and that you chose to spend your Anniversary here.Look forward to seeing you both again so you can enjoy a roaring log fire. The views are great even in the winter! Best wishes, Ann & Peter

“This is a place to escape the 'rat race'”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2013

We have just stayed at Bethyn Y Wennol in Conway and found it to be the ideal place to escape the 'rat race' for the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. When we entered the cottage and were shown around by the owner we suddenly felt as though we had entered 'the Tardis' the tour culminated at the end of the cottage where there was a balcony overlooking the valley looking down toward Bettws y Coed. This was fantastic. The cottage had everything you could wish for, clean, comfortable, well equipped with all the amenities one could wish for. The owner hade prepared a welcome tray of a pot of tea and Bara Brith. Most appreciated. Sadly we had to leave at the end of the week but this holiday will remain with us for a long long time.

Thank you very much for your kind review. It was lovely to meet you both and I`m glad you were able to enjoy the views and the glorious weather from the balcony.Hope to see you again sometime in the future. Best wishes, Ann

“Fabulous cottage and fabulous location!”

Reviewed 30 Mar 2013

My husband and I have just returned from a short break in Bwythyn y Wennol and cannot speak highly enough of the cottage. Ann, the owner who lives next door, was on hand to meet us and show us around. The cottage is lovely with quality fixtures and fittings making a stay there very comfortable. Views from the outside terrace are fabulous. The surrounding area was snow covered while we were there and we look forward to hopefully returning in the summer months when we could enjoy sitting outside with a glass of wine! The cottage makes a great base from which to explore North Wales and we can highly recommend a stay there. Thanks again Ann!

Dear Sian & Ian, thank you so much for your kind review. Delighted that you enjoyed the cottage and the location so much despite the snowy landscape. Look forward to seeing you again sometime hopefully without the need for winter woollies ! Best wishes,Ann

“very tranquil cottage”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2013

we have just returned from a lovely two night anniversary break at Bwthyn y Wennol which we thoroughly enjoyed - it is a very pretty cottage set in the hills above Conwy which is a little over a mile and a half away - we particularly loved the cosiness of the living room and log burning fire, which we used on both nights despite being lucky enough to have sunshine for the whole of our visit - overall, we found the cottage to be very relaxing, well cared for, romantic, and peaceful - possibly the only downside was that there wasn't a table and chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view - but other than that, we had a lovely time

Glad you enjoyed Bwthyn y Wennol to celebrate your Anniversary. However, I am a little confused regarding your comment about the lack of chairs on the balcony when there are actually 2 recliners( as shown in the photo on the website)from which you would have enjoyed the lovely views and sunshine.Regardless of that I am pleased you found the cottage so cosy especially the log burner. Best wishes, Ann

“Absolutely gorgeous get away cottage with wonderful character :-)))”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2013

Immediately I fell in love with this cottage, its just gorgeous,I didn't want to leave, we will DEFINITELY be returning, it's cosy with the log burner, kitchen well equipped, bathroom too, the lounge is very spacious and the bedroom is wonderful with the balcony, its like a tardis once inside, spacious, very clean and comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone looking for a getaway for it all, I just wish we stayed longer.

Thank you for the great review and glad you found the cottage cosy enough even in the depths of winter!Hope to see you again sometime when the weather may be better so you can enjoy the balcony. Best wishes, Ann

“Perfect little getaway”

Reviewed 26 Jan 2013

Gorgeous little cottage nestled in the greenary of north Wales. We went for a mini pre-Christmas break and the cottage was beautiful when we arrived late on the Friday evening. Lovely welcome with 2 little christmas puddings and other personal touches! The log fire's brilliant on a cold day and the balcony has stunning views. Can't wait to return!

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It really helps to give other potential guests the confidence to book.I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you both again sometime in the future. Best wishes, Ann

“The perfect retreat!!”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2012

We found our second stay at Bwthyn Y Wennol to be even better than our first. It's a lovely, spacious cottage for two people and our landlady went out of her way to make it welcoming and comfortable. We noticed several upgrades from our first visit, all improvements, but it still retains all the charm we had remembered from before. The location is perfect - quiet and rural - but close enough to Conwy to allow us to walk into town several times. Many nice places in the area to visit and enjoy, but we used the well-equipped kitchen for all our breakfasts and several evening meals, and luckily the weather allowed us to enjoy the deck in back. A washer/dryer is a real plus. The only disappointment was having to leave!! We just hope to get back sooner the next time to stay again....we definitely will return :)

“Beautiful Cottage in a stunning location”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2012

This cottage has got it all - it is cosy & comfortable and has views to die for. We came to Conwy for the food feast and we were not dissapointed by our choice of accomodation and would happily have stayed longer than the 2 nights if we could have. The cottage was very clean, cosy and had all the comforts of home and more. Ann was really friendly and helpful on our arrival , being next door was a bonus had we needed her help with any-thing. We will definately be back again to chill out on the fabulous balcony with a glass of wine !!

Thank you so much for your kind review-really pleased you enjoyed the cottage and the Conwy Feast Festival and hope to see you again when the weather improves. The wine will be chilled and waiting for you to enjoy on the balcony! Ann
