Location description from owner

The North Wales region

Conwy is a seaside town on the north coast of Wales. It faces Deganwy across the River Conwy. Conwy is famous for its medieval castle and for this reason is a popular tourist destination. Stunning views over Snowdonia and the harbour form the backdrop to this designated World Heritage Site and walled town.
King Edward 1 built the walled town and the adjoining castle in the 13th century at the mouth of the River Conwy.

Things to do in Conwy:
There is so much to do and see in Conwy with its historic harbour, which is one of the largest recreational boating harbours in the whole of Wales accommodating leisure craft, a small commercial fishing fleet, mussel boats and a charter angling fleet and if you have your own boat you can launch it from here. Fishing, sailing, walking, horse riding, sandy beaches and three golf courses are all within easy reach.

Conwy

Orielfa is superbly located, on the marina waterfront, with the golf course couple of minutes walk away and Langleys Spa nearby. The Mulberry Pub is at the other end of the front. This is an ideal base for golfing, walking (mountains & beach) driving to beautiful and senic Snowdonia range. Llandudno, the famous north Wales town with leading shops is approx. 6 miles away. Chester the historic Roman City is 50 miles to the east.

“Fantastic place to stay - highly recommended”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2015

My wife and I took our 3 kids aged 28/17/13 to Conwy this year and stayed in this property. The location is special with a beautiful beech 2 minutes walk from the front door and an ever changing view of the picturesque marina directly in front of the property. The accommodation was clean, modern and well equipped and we found the owners very relaxed and easy to communicate with, there was even a nice bottle of wine to greet us on arrival. Conwy is a lovely town only 20 mins stroll along the coast with plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from and there is a decent pub on the marina itself. We can recommend using the barbecue and the butchers in Conwy town center for sure and the location is good if you want to explore North Wales. We would stay here again for sure which says it all really.

“Fantastic place to stay”

Love this place, our second visit. Very clean, spacious, everything you could need for a perfect family holiday and the the view from the veranda is just lovely. Highly recommended.

“Great Location; super views.”

A great house on three floors with lovely, hotel standard bedrooms - modern, luxury en-suites in two. The kitchen was very well equipped except for bin bags and dish-washer tablets which we needed plenty of at Christmas. The views were amazing - over the marina. The weather was cold and sunny. Buck's Fizz on the balcony on Christmas morning! Great walk into Conway, mainly along the estuary footpath.

“Beautiful location overlooking the marina and spotlessly clean.”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2014

This 3 storey house overlooks Conwy Marina, with Deganwy across the river and hills in the distance. It was spotlessly clean with good facilities. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need including a good coffee maker. The taps in the house were a bit weird and caused some fun at times. For us the position of the house was perfect because it was just a 20 minute slow walk into Conwy, initially along country roads then along the coastal path by the river, which was a delightful walk bringing you to the quayside in front of the castle. The castle was well worth visiting. We were also visited RSPB Conwy which is just back over the river. In fact we went there 3 times because the birding was very good and the farmers market was better than most we've beeen to. The Mulberry pub serves good meals. It's just a 5 minute walk along the marina path. Meals were huge. The fish pie was particularly good. The shop there also sells an amazing variety of food, stationery, toiletries etc.

Excellent apartment, lovely spot, very spacious, very clean. Highly recommend. Wish we had more time there.

“Fully deserves all the superlatives...!”

You really can believe all the 5 star reviews Orielfa has received. This is a wonderful, spacious and “friendly” house. All very clean and nicely decorated. Exceptionally well equipped - including all mod-cons, good quality towels and bed-linen, and ample supplies of cutlery, china, glasses etc. Two private parking spaces outside the front door were a bonus. Stunning views across the Marina, and a great base for exploring the many delights which this area offers. Communications with the owners were excellent – prompt and very clear replies throughout. No hesitation in recommending Orielfa for a relaxing holiday.

“Fantastic house and location”

We loved the house it was large clean and comfortable for family groups. The views are lovely from both sides of the house. This is one of the best rentals we have stayed in.

“Really good base for exploring North Wales”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2014

We chose Orielfa for an extended family holiday with 2 children (2 and 8 months), parents , aunt and 2 grandparents. The house could accommodate us all really well except the baby who got restless in the same room as parents so eventually we darkened the front door and put her cot in the entrance hall which worked better. The house is really well-equipped with everything you could ask for and more. There are lots of mugs and plates so you can fill the dishwasher and still have spares to use. We especially enjoyed the coffee machine and this is now on the Christmas gift list. The galley kitchen area really has just room for one to work in so preparing meals and washing up could not really happen at the same time. They have used the extra space created to provide an enormous living area with plenty of space for our grandson to set up his wooden train set. The Sky Package is great and wifi worked really well. We walked into Conwy once and it took us 10-15 minutes but the footpath is not well signposted in the marina and the obvious route is not the best. We went to the local pub (The Mulberry) once, OK but we thought a bit pricey for standard pub meals. It's really close to a junction for the A55 so getting around is easy. We did Bangor, Anglesey, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Llandudno, Rhyl - all within easy reach. The big disappointment for us was the weather with a cool breeze all week so no days on the beach - which is really close - or evenings on the patio sipping wine.

“an idyllic setting”

An ideal location for touring North Wales. Beautiful town house offering all mod cons with a beautiful view of Conwy marina and just a few mins walk to a sandy beach. A perfect retreat.

“Lovely house in a beauriful spot”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2014

Very nice and clean little house that has everything you need. It overlooks the harbour and you can take long walks on the beach or take a 15 minute walk into Conwy and have a drink in the Liverpool Arms right on the water. We had a nice time, would come back and stay there again.
