This beautiful rural holiday villa in Lanzarote is an ideal choice for those looking for something a little special. The villa is in Conil, a village situated at the edge of Tias, a traditional Lanzarote village next to Lanzarote's famous wine growing region La Geria. The surrounding rural area is protected as Lanzarote was declared a Biosphere Reserve in October 1993 by UNESCO. Villa Papaz with its Luna landscape is excellent for walking-, golf- and cycling holidays in Lanzarote. Book our villa in Lanzarote and enjoy a relaxing holiday in this perfect location where you can discover the beauty of the Lanzarote countryside and the unique architectural treasures hidden in its towns and villages where you will see the influence of the late Lanzarote conejero (local) Cesar Manrique.
Cesar Manrique has been an inspiration for the builder as you can se on architecture and details. The electrical- and solar heated swimming pool is located on the hillside overlooking the Islands of Lobos, Fuerteventura and the Atlantic ocean. This peaceful rural situation is surrounded by open fields and looming volcanoes, just a few minutes drive from the Yachting Marina of Puerto Calero and Lanzarote's main tourist resort of Puerto del Carmen, both providing some of the best entertainment and cuisine on the island.

Villa Papaz is conveniently situated only 10 minutes drive from the airport and ten minutes drive from Lanzarote's main tourist resort of Puerto del Carmen. It is also near the exclusive Yachting Marina of Puerto Calero. The villa is south facing and boasts spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, Atlantic ocean and neighboring island of Fuerteventura.
The villa has a plot of more than 1000 sqm, it is on the perimeter of the building zone in the village so the land in front of the villa can not be built on, therefore retaining its spectacular views. It has a built area of 222 sqm on two stories with a central courtyard of an additional 36 sqm. The first floor consists of Master suite with en-suite bathroom and roof terrace. The ground floor consists of 3 double bedrooms with a family bathroom, a large Kitchen Dining room that opens onto the central courtyard and a large lounge that looks over the Swimming Pool area with sea views. There is also a handy workshop
The Cesar Manrique inspired electric heated Swimming Pool is surrounded by gardens. There are spectacular views of the neighbouring Island of Fuerteventura.
The Central Courtyard is partially shaded with a hand crafted wooden Pergola and is the perfect place to sit and relax with a glass of wine or two.
Many of the walls in the house are made double skinned. This was for two reasons; firstly to insulate the house, as this helps to keep out the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter, and to also give the villa a Rustic feel as all of the traditional houses on the Island were built with thick stone walls.
The Kitchen has patio doors that open out to the Court Yard and the Dining room has patio doors that open out to the Pool area.
The master suite is on the first floor with french doors opening onto a Juliet balcony and roof terrace. There are three double bedrooms on the ground floor with a large bathroom that has a natural stone garden feature in it. There are Designer Taps and Sinks in both bathrooms and all the tiles throughout the house are of the highest quality.
The internet capacity is poor in rural areas like Conil. There is wifi in the villa, but only enough data to read email, news and simple browsing (5Gb per month (less than two hours HD-streaming)). Once you watch youtube/Netflix/HBO or other streaming services, you will run out of data quickly. If you are really unlucky, former guests might have used all data (this has only happened once).

“Unique, stunning well placed Villa”
This was our 7th Visit to Lanzarote. We always stay in Playa Blanca but thought it was time to try something different. Villa Papaz is certainly that! The villa is so unique and very special. The views were amazing. There are so many different levels and areas to enjoy, whatever your mood. It is in a great position to explore the island. We all thoroughly recommend it. We hope to return again one day. Thanks also to the Owners and management team for a smooth booking process etc... reassuring when booking a Villa can seem daunting to some people.
“Perfect villa in quiet area”
The pictures of Villa Papaz on tripadvisor are really what you see, is what you get. The location of Villa Papaz was perfect for our family holiday (with 2 young children). Conil is a quiet area and from the villa you've a great view at the Atlantic and the island of Fuerteventura. The pool and the villa are very beautiful and in the style of Manrique. The jacuzzi on the rooftop terrace is a real bonus. The owners provided us with great service and correspondence. On arrival there were even start groceries in the fridge!
Really enjoyed our week here. Lovely villa with lots of nice touches. Nice pool, comfy sun loungers. Really good hot tub, great fun at night looking at the stars whilst in the tub! Fire pit area was really nice too - used that a couple of evenings. Cabrera medina was the best hire car option - a lot cheaper than the rest and included fully comp & additional driver as standard. Only 15mins from airport but you do need a car to stay at the villa ideally. Was good fun having the car as explored a few different areas - Papagayo beach is worth a visit. Have included a photo! Would stay here again, there was only 2 of us but I think the villa would be great fun as a group and certainly has enough space
“Amazing Villa Papaz”
This fantastic house has everything you need for a perfect holiday in Lanzarote. We loved the pool area with its different areas for morning sun and afternoon sun. The master bedroom has a wonderful roof terrace with a spectacular view - perfect for early morning yoga. The semi-indoor patio was the best place to be in the middle of the day, chill and cozy. The house is like an artwork, always something new to discover. Villa Papaz is situated close to everything, but you have to have a rental car. The roads in Lanzarote is great and the island is exciting to explore.We recommend the market in Teguise, the island La Graciosa, Papagayo beaches, El Golfo, Puerto Calero and Playa Quemada. But even Puerto del Carmen is charming in its way and have great beaches (like Playa Chiqua). It was our fourth time in Lanzarote, but the first time we didn't stay in a hotel in Puerto del Carmen. From now on we will stay at Villa Papaz. We were 4 adults and 3 children, but it is no problem to be 10 people in this big house.
This has been the best familyvacation ever! We were 8 people there - 4 adult and 4 children. (8mnd - 5 years) and the house was perfect! Spaceious and with an amazing view. Short distance to everything, but we found out that the best place to be, was by the poolside with the children playing and the adults tanning! Big fuctional kitchen, delicate baths and comfortable bedrooms. It was very nice and clean too. I recommend this place by the strongest! We are already planning the next trip back to this amazing paradise!
“Beautiful and quite”
We stayed in Villa Papaz christmas/new years and had a wonderful vacation. The house is tastefull furnished, with comfertable bedrooms, large and practical kitchen plus a lovely patio and the best pool area we have experianced. The view is stunning.About the pool, it was heated so it was no problem swimming although it was not the warmest period of the year. In addition the bearbeque arrangement was very nica, and we could even use the barbeque as a fire place in the nights, really nice! Villa papaz is spacious and is perfect for 2 famileys. The loaction is very good, only a short drive to the nearets beach and good conviniente stores are very close by. We highly recommend the house and will for sure come back!!

The house is built in Caesar Manrique style with an outdoor swimming pool and a charming barbeque area. Waking up in the morning in the master bedroom viewing the palm trees and Tinasoria - the mountain top - give you a fantastic start of the day.... We even climbed the mountain once which gave a marvellous view of the southern tip of the island and all the way to Fuerteventura. The house with its facilities is ideal for 3 - 4 couples wanting to enjoy and explore Lanzarote. It is located centrally on the island - within reach of all the nice places on Lanzarote in less than 30 minutes.... We will come back !

“Villa Papaz is a very special place!”
Lying up in the hillside, this villa has a great overview of the coastline, and contains all the facilities needed for a extended group of people. Beautiful outdoors with a spaceous pool, combined with lots of rooms to relax indoors. Upon arrival the villa was clean and welcoming, you feel at home right from the start. I specially enjoyed the openaired living space in the middle of the villa, and the massive dining hall with a 3 meter long dining table, making a special atmosphere, and room for everyone around the table. We are looking forward to visiting this villa again!
