“We always find Farmhouse Cottage soo relaxing. A home from home.”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2018

Farmhouse Cottage has been the place we stay whenever we visit the area to meet up with friends and family. Our recent trip up from Devon was the fourth time we have spent a week and will definitely return there on our next visit. The cottage has everything you could wish for and is extremely comfortable and well situated for exploring the area with the Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District only a short drive away. If you prefer to visit National Trust places Biddulph Grange, Little Morton Hall and Tatton Park are easily accessible.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for staying at our Farmhouse Cottage for a fourth time - it is always a pleasure to welcome you back and to catch up. We're so pleased that you find our cottage so comfortable - our aim is to maintain high standards to ensure that our guests enjoy a lovely break.. Looking forward to seeing you again. kind regards Brenda & Tom

“Fabulous Cottage for Two”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2018

Farmhouse Cottage is a great place to stay. It is super clean, warm, extremely well equipped and ideally located for exploring Cheshire and the Peak District. There is lots to do and see in the area. The large bedroom has a great shower room and super comfy bed with lovely views out across fields to Bosley Cloud. The kitchen has everything you need and more. A perfect cottage for two that would be hard to beat.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your lovely comments - they are much appreciated. We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cottage - in which we take great pride to ensure our high standards are consistently achieved. And it's lovely that you've recognised the beauty and variety of things to do in this area. Thank you for staying with us and very best wishes from Brenda & Tom

“Beautiful welcoming Farmhouse Cottage in a great location”

Reviewed 23 Mar 2018

We have just enjoyed our third visit to Farmhouse Cottage. You feel at home as soon as you step through the door. Warm and cosy with a lovely kitchen/living room very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. It is beautifully clean. The bedroom is very spacious with a large and very comfortable bed and a lovely shower room. The location is excellent with beautiful countryside on the doorstep. You can enjoy lovely walks, spectacular scenery and country pubs serving excellent food. National Trust properties and many other places of interest are all within a short drive. Thank you Brenda and Tom for a lovely stay we look forward to our next visit.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for staying with us again - and for your very kind comments regarding our Farmhouse Cottage. It's always a pleasure to welcome you here and we're so pleased that you enjoy both the cottage and the local area. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Thank you again. Brenda & Tom

“Lovely cottage”

Reviewed 28 Oct 2017

This is a lovely well thought out cottage with lots of little extras and very clean. The owners obviously take great pride in their cottages. The location is great for National Trust houses and walking on the canal. Will definitely be back. John and Tina

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your lovely review of our cottage - and yes I would confirm that we do take a lot of pride and care of our cottages. We constantly strive to ensure that they remain at the highest standard of cleanliness and decoration. Your comments are therefore much appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back for another stay. Brenda & Tom

“Excellent comfortable cottage.”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2017

Brenda has provided everything you can need for a comfortable stay. The cottage is well-appointed with good fixtures and fittings, plus pleasant decor. The bedlinen, towels and kitchen equipment are also of good quality. Brenda and her family are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is well-situated for National Trust properties and gardens ( Little Moreton Hall, Biddulph Grange Garden and Tatton Hall , plus others). The Peak District is nearby and the journey from the cottage to Buxton has spectacular scenery. Chester and the Potteries outlet shops at Stoke-on-Trent are within reach. Locally, walks up the Bosley Cloud (superb views) and along the canal can be enjoyed. A little further afield Alderley Edge provides more lovely walks and views. The only slight drawback is the main road close to the farm. However, we did not find it intrusive as the traffic did not continue into the night. It was mainly noticeable at the times people travel to and from work. However, the road made travel to other places very easy.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your lovely review. We're very pleased that you enjoyed our cottages and the local area. There really is lots to see and do around this area. Thank you for staying with us. kind regards Brenda & Tom

“Ideal cottage for 2 in beautiful area”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2017

We used Farmhouse Cottage as a base for visiting our son and daughter-in-law. Had they not decided to settle in Congleton, we may have missed discovering East Cheshire, which is a beautiful area and also adjacent to the Peak District. We have been renting cottages across the UK for over 30 years and found this to be one of the best equipped we have ever used. We hope to return soon.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your lovely review of our Farmhouse Cottage - we're really grateful that you appreciated what we are hoping to achieve towards providing the best accomodation that we can. We are also so lucky to live in such a beautiful area and enjoy being able to share the area with guests by means of providing adviceon where to visit. The only trouble being - that there is so much to see and do in this locality - whatever your interests may be. It will be lovely to welcome you back in the future. kind regards Brenda & Tom

“The Wow Factor”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2014

We recently stayed at "Farm House Cottage"which is the one bedroom accommodation adjacent to "Swallows Barn"for our holiday in the area, for one month from Rosebud,Australia. The owners Brenda and Tom have really excelled in combining traditional values with ultra modern appliances in these renovations, which are to a high standard..hence "The Wow Factor!!" when first viewed.Brenda really was "The Hostess with the Most" during this time: Greeting us on our arrival at Manchester Airport,a ride to the Cottage, making sure we had initial groceries to tide us over, until we hired a car to do our own shopping (own transport preferable for this location) She generally did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable, and carefree. The website for these properties is without embellishment (I know the area very well from too many years ago!!) Thanks Brenda and Tom for making our holiday the success it was,and all good wishes for your new business venture.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your lovely comments - we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We know that you visited a wide variety of places whilst you were here including Llandudno and Blackpool - thank you for the seaside rock! Hoping that we may meet again in the future. best wishes Brenda & Tom
