Comrie

Comrie is an award winning conservation village that has kept its original visual appeal. The friendly village has the following amenities; Grocers, shops, General merchant, Post Office, Bank, Newsagents, Delicatessan, Butchers, Greengrocers, Motor garage and Petrol station plus a number of cafes and restaurants.

In summer there are a range of events for all ages including the famous "Comrie Fortnight" where for two weeks there are all sorts of indoor and outdoor events and entertainment.

To bring in the new year there is a fire festival called "The Flambeax" where locals supported by the Comrie Pipe Band carry large burning torches through the streets finally throwing them into the River Earn. The evening finishes with dancing in the square.
