Description

The barn is located opposite our house in our lovely gardens which have far reaching views over the Somerset countryside. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and is an idyllic place to spend your holiday. Shabby chic meets modern country living. Oh, and don't forget the hot tub! Bracken is on the ground floor and offers very spacious accommodation for two people. The sitting room has a TV/DVD player as well as a music system and plenty of room for relaxing. There is a large kitchen with a dining table and chairs for 4 people. The kitchen, appliances and equipment are all brand new for 2015. The double bedroom has a king size double bed, wall mounted TV/DVD player and lovely, painted country furniture with plenty of storage space. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower over the bath, the other with a separate shower. All bedding and towels are provided. Outside is a private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Compton Dundon is located between the interesting historic towns of Somerton and Glastonbury and is a pretty and quiet village nestled between two hills. It is close to many attractions and is a fantastic place for a number of walks. The lovely city of Wells is only 20 minutes away and is well worth a visit. ​

Compton Dundon is a lovely, quiet village nestled in the Polden Hills. So we have great views over the Somerset countryside. It is located between the interesting historic towns of Glastonbury and Somerton, both picturesque places for a casual stroll, a cup of coffee or gastro pub, some interesting independent shops. Glastonbury also, of course has the magnificent abbey and tor. Also close is the wonderful city of Wells which you mustn't miss. We are a great base for walks and we welcome dogs, so you won't be short of places to explore. There are numerous National Trust properties within easy reach, as are Cheddar Gorge and Wokey Hole. The coast Somerset coast is around a 40 minute drive and the Dorset coast around an hour. You won't be short of things to do!
