Location description from owner
The Lake Como region
Lombardy ( Lombardia) is one of the twenty regions of Italy. The capital city is Milan. One-sixth of Italy's population lives in Lombardy the most populous and richest region in the Country and one of the richest in the whole of Europe. The climate of this region is continental, though with variations depending on altitude or the presence of inland waters. Lake Como weather is generally mild. It is known for its Mediterranean-like climate where tropical and sub-tropical plants can grow year-round. In the winter, the lake helps to maintain a higher temperature in the surrounding region.
Old town centre of Como is only for pedestrians so that you can enjoy strolling about the small streets (via) or sitting by cafeterias in the squares (piazza), steeped in the town's every day's real life.Como is really picturesque: shaped as in a grid inside the medieval walls, everything is at hand though, from restaurants to shops and supermarkets.During Summer you can enjoy bathing at Villa Olmo's swimming pool (Lido) which is at the left end of the lake promenade at 15-20 mins walking distance from the apartments.

“Well appointed apartment, finished to a high standard”
Just a few words to express our appreciation of the lovely stay we had, using the Classico suite. Ideal situation for exploring Como - close to all amenities & ferries to other lakeside villages. The apartment was well appointed; finished to a high standard. The rooms were equipped with remote controllable ceiling fans which (in our opinion) are superior to air conditioning.Comfortable and clean. We will recommend it to our friends should they wish to explore the region.
“Bright, spacious apartment in the heart of Como city”
I booked this apartment for my family to stay in whilst visiting me at Lake Como for a long weekend. The whole process from initial enquiry through to arriving at the apartment was made easy by the efficiency of Giovanni and Gillian. The apartment itself is very spacious and bright and furnished to a high standard. My family told me that the beds were comfortable and that they found the apartment to be clean and fairly well equipped (just needing more large mugs - for tea drinkers!). We had a problem with some rail tickets from Milano and Giovanni very kindly offered to help us get a refund, which in my opinion is above and beyond what one can expect from a holiday manager. I would highly recommend this apartment for a holiday at Lake Como.
“Classico apartment, more beautiful the second time around”
Having stayed a week last year we knew we were in for another week of total happiness staying in this most perfect of all apartments we have stayed in ( 25 in total over 5 years) The apartment itself has an ideal location in the center of Como and yet it is quiet at all times, day & night. Once again it was a joy to meet with Giovanni, a perfect host. And once again we found perfection in all that the apartment has to offer- beautiful bed linen, on a very comfortable bed, a lovely kitchen, very well equipped, full of light, spotlessly clean, and a great bathroom. It is ideal for 1 or 2 couples. We spent the week re exploring Como as well as discovering new villages around the most beautiful of all lakes in Italy. The climb up the the Volta lighthouse (and then up inside the structure) was well worth the effort as was the climb down from Brumante. Dont miss the boat ride to Cernobbio and find the delightful public garden. We also enjoyed a day up in the clouds at Pigra- reached with a tiny cable car from Argengno. For the best coffee in town - just outside the apartment in Milani caffe, in Piazza Mazzini. Barbara Adelaide South Australia
We stayed in Classico in early September - it is a light bright and airy apartment, spacious and modern with pleasant outlook from the windows and situated in the beautiful old town of Como. It was in a convenient position not too far from the lake and the stations and overlooking a piazza with great character. Giovanni, who welcomed us, was reliable, helpful and a true gentleman. Just be aware there are lots of stairs to get to the apartment.
“Como- the star of the Lake”
It is time for Como, the city to shine. We spent one glorious week here in May and our apartment, Classico,in Piazza Mazzini, rented out by Blue Star, made it a most wonderful week within our 10 week journey in Italia. We stayed everywhere in apartments and this apartment was by far the most beautiful, well furnished and extremely comfortable of all. Situated in the center of the city, we had access to the lake front, all the shops etc- on our doorstep and the friendliest bar ( with brilliant coffee) you will find in Italy at Caffe Milani in Piazza Mazzini. The apartment is a 10 minute walk from the station. We were met on arrival by Giovanni - a most wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble and any inquiry was dealt with immediately. This also applies to my correspondence when I was booking. Every email was replied to immediately. Greatly appreciated. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and shown around the apartment. It is exactly as you see on the web site- beautiful, clean, modern lines, very well equipped, a fabulous kitchen and eating area which we loved so much we ate in most nights. The bathroom is spotless, modern and with a great shower. The bedroom has windows over the piazza but we never found it to be noisy. The bed was very comfortable. Ample storage space, lots of shelving and full of light everywhere. In summary, a joy to live in and we hope to return. As for Como the city- there is much to be appreciated, great markets, supermarkets, shops and very friendly locals! There are fabulous walks- the tourist office can help and of course so much to see on and around the lake.
