Description

Casa Estrella offers the best of both worlds. It is the ideal place to relax and unwind and equally provides a great base from which to explore the region of Andalucía.

The villa is situated on top of a large hillside with astonishing views across the Andalucian hills and countryside with eagles regularly hovering. Access is from a short, well-paved track. Enter the property via a private gate. The house is on one level. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a private pool (9 x 4 m) and a landscaped garden with spacious terraces which offer both sun and shade. All have marvellous views. The villa is to be equipped to be a home from home with a fully fitted kitchen and is well furnished.

The exterior of Casa Estrella comes equipped with:

- secure parking

- outdoor dining tables on the terraces

- sun loungers and chairs on the pool terrace

- BBQ

- a shower is conveniently located near to the pool

All house and pool towels are provided as well as linen for the bedrooms.

Casa Estrella can be visited all year round as the wood burning stove offers heating in spring and autumn. Great for outdoor lovers with various hiking paths in the nearby National Parks (Montes de Málaga and El Torcal). The picturesque 'blanco' villages of Comares and Colmenar are just 20 minutes from our doorstep and offer the typical Andalucian way of life. Also lovers of culture are very welcome as Granada, Málaga, Córdoba, Antequera, Sevilla, ... are all within driving distance.

“2 weeks of bliss”

This Villa is wo wonderful. Fully equipped with everyrhing you may need. Only negative, no sun umbrellas by pool, so very hot with no shade. Journey up mountain is a bit scary 1st time, but worth ot for virws, which wete amazing. Soonn get used to journey.

“Perfect”

Me and my fiancee decided to stay here on our first holiday away together and we loved it, the villa is beautiful, it is very clean and has modern quality fixtures and appliances. The pool area is amazing, its perfect for sun bathing. The location is very peaceful, we spent most evenings sitting outside admiring the surrounding views. A hire car is a must though. Sandra the owner is extremely helpful, if you have any questions she will response very quickly. We would happily stay here again. Thanks Greg & Sophie

“Wonderful”

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Casa Estrella. The views are beyond words and the house and pool are great. The roads leading to the house are a little hairy but you do get used to them and after a little while are no problem at all. I would highly recommend this beautiful house for a relaxing, get away from it all holiday!

“Perfection, from Sunrise to Sunset”

We stayed at Casa Estrella for 2 weeks at the end of June. The house is a twenty minute drive from Colmenar, which is convenient and close to the motorway A45. The first trip up to the house was a little “challenging”, but it is a drive that you grow used to. Located high in the mountains, you will enjoy the most views of deep valleys and faraway hills. The house is of high quality, modern and well equipped. But for us the outside area is what is really so special. The terraces and poolside allow you to enjoy every minute of the sun’s day-long journey from it’s rising in the east, to its setting behind Casa Estrella. Sandra dealt with the booking swiftly and efficiently, Angela settled us in quickly and professionally, and Dave tended to the pool. The neighbors were friendly, though unobtrusive and offered their hospitality and advice very generously. Overall, the holiday ranks up there with the best - we will return. Paul, Ireland

“This place is STUNNING”

We just back from spending four glorious weeks in Casa Estrella. Sandra the owner was very quick to respond to any question we had and nothing was a trouble. We would like to thank Angela for guiding us there and Dave for looking after the pool, he has been very helpful and a font of knowledge and unobtrusive. The roads here are steep and winding however you will get used to them as you come and go. This villa is stocked to the highest level with everything that anyone would need for a home, beautifully clean and modern throughout. The views are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. We think it has the best views around !!!! The pool is just the best place to cool down from the heat of the sun. We visited Malaga, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Coin, Torre Del Marr, Frigillana, Nerja, Torrox, Velez Malaga, Colmenar and Comares. Found Nerja a really lovely place, great square and side streets. The local market in Colmenar on a Thursday was really good. Thought Frigillana even though beautiful over commercialized. Without a doubt prefered Comares by far, a very pretty village that has not been commercialized. Strangely enough found the cemetery very interesting. There is a great butcher and Dia supermarket as you come off the motorway for Colmenar (industrial estate on right hand side) which Sandra told us about. The staff are second to none, with little English are very welcoming and helpful. The butcher has delicious cuts of meat and very reasonably priced. The views here are stunning. To sit on the balcony and watch the small birds skirt about the sky like fighter jets is amazing. To see them zoom in over the pool take a drink of water and fly off again is fabulous. Also to see the Eagles swore in the thermals, watch them glide for miles. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING listening for the goat bells coming up from the valley, and watch them graze is brilliant. Sitting out on the balcony with our books, we could barely read a page without looking up and admiring the view. As the Ronseal adv. says IT DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN. The burning question is would we go back ? IN A HEART BEAT. Love it !, Love it !, Love it ! p.s Hired our car through Do You Spain with Gold Car No problems at all. Our advise is, take their insurance at the desk on arrival. Might be a bit more expensive, build it into the price of your holiday and have peace of mind. Scooters swerve in and out of very small spaces and could easily scrap your car and vanish.

“Perfect mountains, tranquility and a great house”

My daughter and I had a week at Casa Estella in October 2017 and it was a wonderful stay. The house is up in the hills north of Malaga and what a wonderful spot. The house is the last one on its road and the views on three sides all look over a big valley dotted with olive trees with beautiful mountains in the distance. The peace and quiet was addictive and the pool was fantastic to laze next to. At the end of the day could relax in the cosy living room which benefitted from a wood fire to make it just the right kind of toasty. The house was spacious and very well equipped. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want and the beds were very comfortable. The whole house is finished to a very high standard and the barbecue area on one side of the house is just perfect for a lazy lunch. It's well placed for visits to Malaga going west on the main road (about 40 minutes), or for visiting Velez-Malaga and Torre del Mar by going east (about the same amount of time) and then south to the coast. We found a lovely beach-side restaurant in Torre del Mar that had wonderful seafood at a great price. You will need to have a hire-car, but that just means you can explore more of this fantastic part of Spain. Everything about Casa Estrella meant we had a wonderful stay and the owner was more than helpful and such a pleasure to deal with. Book it, you won't regret it.

“Peaceful mountain views and whitwashed villages.”

This area is stunning, great sunrises and sunsets. The villa is in the mountains beneath a stunning whitewashed village. The villa is well equipped and the pool was perfect for us as had a good shallow end. Neighbours are friendly,helpful and unobtrusive. Great place to get away from it all. Sandra (the owner) was extremely helpful and contacted us quickly when we had queries. The road to the villa is mainly good but does have a few steep parts and windy bends...we enjoyed it but maybe not for the fainthearted.Enjoyed our stay immensely.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
