Casa Granadina is set amidst orange, lemon and avocado groves. You are free to wander amongst the trees and eat the fruit at your will. You can also relax in the orchard by the vegetable garden, or if the fancy takes you, you can pull a few weeds! There are terraces close to the house where you may also sit and relax.
I have a vegetable garden amongst the lemon trees and you are invited to share the seasonal produce and fresh eggs from my neighbours chickens
There is parking space available right next to the cottage.
Change over days can be flexible to suite travel arrangements.
The Andalucia region
Andalucia is the southern most region of Spain and is full of interesting historical interest, from the great Moorish cities of Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla and Malaga to the smaller "white villages" that are very characteristic of Andalucia. There are also national parks, mountain ranges, beaches and ski resorts.
Its a great area to visit if you want to go walking , mountain biking, climbing or just to relax on the beach. The coastal resorts have some of the finest fish restaurants in Spain and the local wine is interesting! could you ask for more.
Although the first fortress in Comares was built by the Romans, its history is much more closely associated with the Moors and you can see this as you walk around its narrow white washed streets. Its a great place to visit and wander around, especially taking in the cemetery in its amazing hilltop spot. Comares is also famous for its local Panda de Vediales, this being the name for a unique brand of music locale only to a few towns in the Malaga area.
Llano Almendra, where Casa Granadina is located is a few kilometres from Comares. It is nestled at the foot of the hills that Comares sits atop. It is a very small village and for that it is a great place to relax and join in the local goings on. Chat to the neighbours as they work in the orchards, or share a glass of local wine and tapas with them. See my reviews for how popular Miguel, my neighbour is!
