Nestled amongst picturesque gardens and less than a minutes walk to the local beach, The Old Stables was originally built in 1884, but has undergone extensive renovation and now provides stylish holiday accommodation for up to 9 guests. With a calming colour pallet by Farrow & Ball, a mix of eclectic furnishings and mod cons that include a hot tub, underfloor heating and WIFI, The Old Stables is a great base for exploring North Wales.

The heart of the home is the large open plan lounge kitchen diner. The kitchen, which originally housed the horse drawn coaches, is well equipped with a dishwasher, american fridge freezer and high quality pots, pans and utensils. The four ovens and central island are bound to satisfy budding chefs, whilst the dinning table, which seats 10, is ideal for those special family meals or enjoying a local fish & chips. A separate utility room provides clothes washing facilities, a must after a visit to the beach.

The lounge retains many original features including exposed pitch pine beams and vaulted ceilings. Enjoy cosy nights in front of the wood burning fire whilst curling up on one of the leather chesterfield sofas. The 50” smart TV with home cinema system, makes for great movie nights, we even provide the pop corn. The private courtyard garden and hot tub can be accessed via the French doors which lead out to the patio with seating and BBQ area.

A second lounge, which was once the stable block, is bound to be a hit with adults and children, with a pool table, games including jenga, connect four and puzzles. Or you could just pick up a book and relax on the chaise lounge.

To aid a good nights sleep, our beds feature hotel quality pocket sprung mattresses hand made in the UK. We only use hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows and of course, bed linen and towels are provided. The two king beds can be configured as twins at your request. A triple room is equipped with adult bunks and a single bed. The ground floor double bedroom, with en suite facilities is ideal for guests who don’t want to climb stairs.

The family bathroom and two en-suite wetrooms (one on the ground floor) come with Grohe thermostatic rain showers, heated towel rails and under floor heating.

A real delight is the private courtyard garden, ideal for BBQs or relaxing in the hot tub whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings which include mature cedar, pine, redwood and walnut trees. The garden and its surroundings are a haven for wildlife with squirrels, an array of birds including robins, blackbirds, sparrows and wag tails. You may be lucky enough to spot the odd herring in summer months.

Great location, quiet and within easy reach of the coast and main roads. This is a spacious, well organised, clean and comfortable property (particularly the beds), a real home from home. The pool table and hot tub are also a real bonus. I would certainly recommend and visit again.

The Stables in Old Conwy was well equipped with everything we needed for our four day stay. It was homely, yet very spacious for our family (6 adults, a 10 year old, a teenager and a 3 month old baby. The beds were really comfortable and the hot tub was a blessing after days of walking and cycling. The kitchen area was ideal for eight people’s full English breakfasts and a couple of evening meals - we ate out for the other meals. I would highly recommend the Stables - the owners Sara and Yousef answered my queries very promptly and were very friendly. They couldn’t have done more to make sure our stay was memorable.
