Offering 3 night (Friday to Monday) and week long (Friday to Friday) breaks, Forest Way is an award-winning, stunning 5* luxurious cottage and apartment sitting on the banks of the White Loch, with private HOT TUB and a relaxing boathouse.

Furnished and equipped to cater for your every need and with a variety of activities within a short drive, including free golf at Colvend Course, less than a mile away, (for guests booking for a week or longer).

Winner of Countryfile's 'Holiday Destination of the Year 2016', Dumfries and Galloway has it all and your holiday home is at the heart of it.

The 5 bedroomed main house is furnished to the highest standard and equipped with a Sonos Sound System in all rooms. All bedrooms are en-suite with luxurious bed linen and sumptuous towels. In addition we have a self-contained two bedroom apartment with small kitchen adjacent to the main house - ideal as additional family accommodation for larger groups. The property is only available for exclusive use so the grounds and features are yours alone to enjoy during your stay. Ideal for a group of friends or that special family occasion, sharing a meal in the large dining kitchen, watching a film in front of a roaring log fire or enjoying a quiet Sunday morning reading the papers in the Snug, there is something for everyone. The landscaped gardens lead down to the loch where you have your own private boathouse with relaxed seating area and bar, you can fish from the jetty or just simply relax in the hot tub and watch the sun go down.

We think the secret to a happy holiday for a large group is to have something for everyone. Within minutes you can go fishing, cycling, golfing, sailing, walking, and so much more. Or simply pull up a chair on the jetty, relax and look out for the swans, cormorants or even an elusive otter. Remember, you have your own Scottish loch at the bottom of your garden!

The house and apartment have a maximum occupancy of 14 guests, however, for a smaller group (up to 10) you can rent only the main house if necessary (see listing - F/W Solway Coast)

The MAIN HOUSE has oil-fired central heating, Sonos music system in all rooms (download the Sonos Controller app to you smart phone before your visit), and comprises:


* Spacious lounge with large comfy sofas set around the wood burning stove; Sky TV with Netflix; patio doors leading to the decking which looks out over the gardens and loch.

* Snug with comfy Harris Tweed armchairs and a selection of books and magazines.

* Kitchen/dining room with electric oven and hob, large American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, NESPRESSO coffee machine (we will leave a few pods to get you started, but if you have your own favourites, please bring a supply with you) and patio doors to the decking for outside dining.

* Utility/boot room with washing machine.

* Cloakroom with hand basin and WC.

* Three en-suite double bedrooms, two with bathrooms with shower over the bath, hand basin and WC and one with shower room with walk in shower, hand basin and WC.


* Master bedroom suite with super king-sized bed, lounge area and en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, hand basin, bidet and WC.

* Second bedroom suite with super king-size bed that can convert to twin beds, lounge area and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.

The APARTMENT has oil fired central heating and comprises:

* Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine.

* Lounge with comfy leather seating and TV.

* Two bedrooms, one double and one twin.

* Bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.


* Relaxed seating area with bar and electric stove.

* Outside decked area with HOT TUB and private jetty.

* Use of rowing boat

* There is also a full sized table tennis table in the garage (for those rainy Scottish days!)

* All heating, electric, bed linen, towels and logs provided.

* Cot and highchair available.

* Wi-Fi available.

* Private parking for 7 cars.

* Free golf for up to a maximum of 4 players on the course at any time for guests staying 7 days or more at Colvend Golf Course.

How do damage deposits work?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Robert (the owner) a message.

If Robert (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
