Location description from owner

The Goa region

Colva

Colva is the oldest famous beach situated in South Goa.All star properties like Park Hyatt, Taj, Ramada etc are present in South Goa.People who want to relax as well enjoy their holidays prefer to stay in South Goa. You can go to other beaches like Majorda, Benaulim and very famous Pallolem Beach is also nearer from here where you go by local conveyance. Margao town is just 4 Kms from this place where you can shop anything.
You can hire a bike and be on your own to explore Goa. Personally speaking I will prefer to stay in South Goa because North Goa has become very commercial and no peace is left. Rather here you can enjoy both peace and fun at your wish. The early morning and late evening walks are fabulous in the Colva village.

In our bunglow the best thing for you is independent garden and big terrace to enjoy Sun which is not available in the apartments. This being independent house located in residential colony there is no nuisance as in flats or apartments which is often created by some tourists after drinking. When you are coming in family after spending so much money, you would like to stay at a place where your privacy is protected and you and your kids are safe and secure.

“Absolutely Fabulous”

Reviewed 21 May 2013

On arriving at Dabolim we took a prepaid taxi to Colva circle, after that we were lost! but one phone call to the lovely owners of the bungalow and we were soon picked up by them (they live very close in Margao) and they took us to the bungalow which we were only minutes away from. The bungalow is lovely, it is a new build and has everything you will need, a proper fridge, a decent microwave combi oven and a two ring gas hob, a large telly ( im sure hubby was fibbing when he said he could only get the cricket channel!!).The bungalow is spotlessly clean. There is a lovely garden that we enjoyed looking after, watering and sweeping the falling Bouganvilla flowers daily to keep it all shipshape. There are houses both sides and both sets of neighbours were very kind and friendly. We received eggs from Pannadi and Bananas from her tree. The bungalow is ideally situated approx. 2km from the main beach at Colva but hubby and I found that renting a scooter at RS250pd was the best way to get around and so much fun (we recommend a guy called Sabby who rents his bikes from just past the last shop on the rhs from the main road down to colva beach. Food and drink is still very cheap we recommend Manush restaurant to the left of colva beach in the corner and when you are desperate for some very good westernised food go to Jamies on the main street, they do lovely food and a great Cosmopolitan. Local buses are dead easy they go from the bus stand at the front of Colva beach, we would park the bike just to the left of the bus stand and hop on a bus that would cost RS14 all the way to the KTC and Railway Station at Margao All in all a great place to stay and the owners Rohit an Renu are really lovely and helpful, we had a fab time Thankyou. Ps there was RS80 to the pound when we were there.

Dear Shelly and Nick, Thanks a lot.We are rather happy that people like you stayed in our bunglow and it was as neat nd clean as was given to you. Pls visit again whenever u plan next time.bye take care... regards, Rohit and Renu
