This wonderful historic galleried holiday property lies in the peaceful conservation village of Colerne in Wiltshire. As part of the Cotswolds, we are surrounded by stunning rolling countryside, a walkers paradise, yet only 6 miles from Bath. Within easy distance of amazing places such as Castle Combe, Lacock and Biddestone, some of England's most beautiful villages, Dyrham Park, Bradford on Avon and Badminton for the Horse Trials.

Beautifully restored, the grade II* listed stable conversion is part of one of the oldest longhouses in Wiltshire dating back to the 13th century, it is also the oldest house in the village and of great historical interest.

Colerne itself is a real hidden gem, perched on a hill overlooking the Box Valley towards Bath. The active village has two pubs, a village shop, cafe, hairdresser and florist. There are also bus connections to Bath and the market town of Chippenham, both providing fast train links to London.

For days out, Bristol, Westonbirt Arboretum, Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Cheddar Gorge, Tetbury and many more, are all within an easy hours drive.

The Stables, with superfast WIFI, Smart TV and Smart Speaker, is a lovely relaxing place to return to after exploring the many attractions in the area.

We can set up an additional small double bed in the main bedroom which would be suitable for an extra adult or two children.

A well-behaved dog is welcome. An additional cost of £20 is to be paid on arrival.

We had a lovely short break at Daubeneys. The property was clean and fully equipped. The bed was comfy and warm. We usually take our own pillows but they were not needed. Thank you

Very comfortable bed the duvet was so fluffy and soft, perfect. The cottage was.very comfortable lovely layout. Felt very spoilt with fresh bread, local butter, milk and homemade Jan as a welcome.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Louise (the owner) a message.

If Louise (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
