"An ideal getaway"
Absolutely lovely property- between the fireplace and the jacuzzi tub, it's the perfect balance of leisure and luxury! Emma was extraordinarily helpful and hospitable throughout our stay. Hope to go back soon!

"Home from home in a beautiful setting!"
Just returned home from a very relaxing week at this lovely little cottage. It's in such a beautiful setting - so peaceful but actually less than 5 mins from the A1 in the car then access to anywhere is good. The farm is very quiet and the owner very friendly and helpful. We had our 8 month old with us and the cot and high chair provided were great. The enclosed private garden was also perfect for our Jack Russell - he enjoyed making friends with the owners dog and others staying next door. The cottage is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully furnished - a very high standard with everything you could need. With the little one we ate in most nights and cooking was easy. Coldingham Bay just 5 mins down the road is a hidden gem - beautiful beach, shallow water and certainly not crowded! Feeding the seals at Eymouth harbour is great - they come so close (even when not being fed). Also the Barn at Beal on the approach road to Holy Island is a must - great food, lovely setting and a fab little bird of prey centre. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone who wants to stay. If I had to be really picky and find fault the cold water runs quite slowly so the shower pressure has to be set low and water still very hot and although Wifi is available it is really limited to the master bedroom (the signal comes from next door and only reaches that end of this cottage) - but works fine in there so as long as you only want it for occasional use its not a problem. We saw badgers and buzzards on the CCTV, deer while out walking and loads of birds from the sitting room window on the feeders outside. Great place - definitely hope to return!

"Steward's Cottage-beautiful, relaxing holiday home"
A stay at Steward's Cottage at Press Mains is like coming home! Emma and Peter made us feel very welcome, providing everything we needed for a self catering holiday in 5 star surroundings.(The cottage is ideal for two to four visitors and is perfectly located to feel away from it all, but close to beaches and countryside). We had our very own "Spring watch" with the wildlife cameras, "Lambing live" in an adjacent meadow and "The Sky at Night" stargazing with no light pollution. Can't wait to return!
Thank you for your lovely review of the Steward's Cottage. The blue tit on the CCTV is now brooding 7 eggs. The lambs are doing well, we are sorry but cannot promise you "lambing live" every stay! Hope to see you again soon. Emma
