Getting around

We can help to arrange car hire with a reliable local company Unlike many Thai car hire firms they do provide a car with a full or almost full tank of fuel and they expect it to be returned that way. Taxis are plentiful as are the local SongThaews, the latter being the least expensive but they are less comfortable.

It is very important to us that our guests enjoy staying at Baan tii Hok. We encourage guests to contact us for any information or assistance at any time Every party is provided with a House Guide, explaining how things work, where to eat, where to shop and useful tips on driving. We can also help to arrange car hire. Whilst we will not be on site during your stay, we do respond very quickly to email queries (time zone differences permitting) and will always do our very best to provide any additional information you may need. This is one of the best places to stay on the island and we aim to ensure that you enjoy every part of your visit. We have a number of guests who book every year and we hope you will among those very soon.

This is a quiet development which includes full time residents and holidaymakers. Consequently it is inappropriate to hold noisy events and parties. Smoking is not permitted in the house and pets are not allowed.
The location is suitable for children although given the number of steps and
accessibility of the swimming pools, young toddlers should be supervised.by their parents at all times. It is not permitted to accommodate additional guests who are not included in the original booking.

“Just what we were looking for.”

This beautiful property consists of 11 semi-detached villas sitting in immaculate grounds, with 2 pools in front, and a view that has to be seen to be believed, all surrounded by lush green vegetation . It is situated in a beautiful and quiet part of the island. The house was serviced and beds were made every day except Sundays, and linnen was changed once a week by very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for nearly three month, and could not have been happier.

We love Bang por it's peaceful has a fabulous beach and plenty of lovely little restaurants.This town house is set up on the hill with fantastic views.we loved the space with 2 bedrooms,large lounge / kitchen and smart Tv.A few steps from the terrace and your were in the infinity pool.We did walk down to the beach one day but transport is a must really.We had daily cleaning and plenty of towels and kitchen equipment.Baan tii Hok offers more than most self catering properties.The neighbour has a mix of locals and only 1 or 2 descreet top end hotels.We felt safe and secure and I felt happy in running the local area alone in the morning. Highly recommended thanks John

“Lovely property in a quiet relaxing location.”

We travelled to Thailand as a family with two children aged 13 and 11 years. Baan tii Hok is well maintained and has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. It is in a quiet location which is great if you want to kick back and relax at the end of the day. The kids loved the swimming pools and most of the time they had them all to themselves! The maid was friendly but discreet, she cleaned the house 6 days out of 7, this was always once we had left the house and before we returned later in the day. As we had been to Bangkok and Chiang Mai prior to arriving in Koh Samui we had a bag full of washing which I asked the maid to do,it was returned the next day and only cost us £2 for everything - fantastic service! As it says in the description you do need a car or some transport as it would be difficult to get a taxi. We hired a car from someone the owner recommended which was great and meant we could explore all of Koh Samui. There are a number of very good restaurants at the end of the road and if you had a torch you could possibly walk to but the road is very dark at night and with two children we opted to use the car! The food in general was good value and delicious and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from that cater for all tastes where ever you go. John (the owner) was very helpful with any questions we had prior to and after we had arrived and gave us some good recommendations - thank you John!

We found the Baan Tii Hok property delightful. The house clean, well maintained and the pools and gardens very pretty. Local residents friendly and a short drive to the beach resturants and the local supermarkets. As advised in the advertisement YOU DO NEED A CAR. We had some queries before we booked and found that the owner responded swiftly and fully to our enquires. Lovely place we will go again.
