Description from owner

Description

Rosenburg is an elegant three story Victorian house and gardens located in the endearing coastal seaport town of Cobh Co. Cork, a town rich in history and culture. Cobh, formerly known as Queenstown is placed in one of the largest natural harbours in the world, and as a result is synonymous with major 20th century maritime events, from the last port of call of the RMS Titanic, to the sinking of the RMS Lusitania.

“Beautiful house, amazing views, wonderful people = the best weekend”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2018

We have just come back (5 ladies) from the most amazing weekend ever! After reading the reviews we knew it would be great. But the house and location suppased even those high expectations. First of all Catherine was amazing! So friendly right from booking she was helpful, offered to get groceries and make sure there was a freshly baked welcome pack ready for us. She also gave us some great ideas of where to go and what to do (she was so lovely we wanted her to come with us!) The house is beautiful and massive with beautiful views out to spike island and beyond! (Really the photos don’t do it justice x) we loved sitting in the front garden watching the boats go by! Even a massive cruise ship turned round outside the house before docking! Cobh is friendly and welcoming with loads to do for a long weekend. We struck it lucky with the regatta weekend so there whole place was alive and Irish music could be heard where we you went! We ate in some great restaurants (Tifanic bar and grill and Wayerside) and drank in some lovely bars! (Pretty much all of them) and met the friendliest people ever! A truely oh amazing weekend ... thank you Catherine... we will be back xxx

Owner's reply: Thank you Jenny for the wonderful review of Rosenburg. We are very happy you all enjoyed you break. You were the perfect guests. Hope to see you all next year!!

“Large House with a Great View of the Harbor”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2016

Staying in this house was a great treat. The manager, Catherine, went out of her way to accommodate us. We could not have found a better place to stay. The view was outstanding. The house is located across the harbor from an Irish Navy facility, so we got to see some large Navy ships. I highly recommend this house.

Owner's reply: Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on Rosenburg. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. You were the perfect guests. Hope the journey home wasn't too tiring and you never know maybe someday I will pay a visit to Texas. Give my regards to you Mam and Dad and Debi. Catherine
