Description

This 17th century, converted, semi-detached former mistal, provides a comfortable and well placed base for your holiday on the Yorkshire coast. Being the only holiday let on the farm, it is perfect for those who wish to be set apart from other holiday makers, and enjoy a tranquil and picturesque location.

It provides newly renovated, well equipped accommodation, whilst retaining some of its period charms. Additionally, there is access nearby to the disused railway track, which now provides a walkway/cycleway between scarborough and whiby, with the cleveland way passing nearby.

The cottage comprises of one double and one twin bedroom, with a travel cot being available upon request.

“lovely cottage”

Reviewed 1 May 2017

This is a lovely holiday rental. It was a perfect size for two adults and our two small children. It has everything that you would need away from home, is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We thought the location was perfect, close to Scarborough, Whitby, Ravenscar etc. If you walk down the field in front of the house you can access the bridleway that runs from Scarborough to Whitby and a short walk along is the local pub and a lovely walk down to a pebble beach in a cove. The owner had left us four cream cakes and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. One thing that I think could have been better was communication with the owner. I believe the property changed hands recently and I was given the number of the person who owned it before. She kindly gave me the new owners number and I contacted her to find out what we did upon arrival and again when we left. Responses were prompt and we did not specifically need anything but I think it would be the icing on the cake if the owner had made th initial contact and made at least one contact to check we were enjoying our stay. Especially as the previous reviews were so great about the owners.
